Atmosphere was casual but nice. Steak was very good (ribeye) and unlike many of the better steakhouses the steak came with sides!

On a recent trip to SD I was lucky enough to be taken out to dinner to Cowboy Star by a client. Cowboy Star is a funky steakhouse boasting a more modern Chic twist on a western saloon style decor bar. Next door to the restaurant is also a butcher run by the same owners where you can see steaks... More

Had a great steak dinner after day one of the breast cancer walk. Wine list was awesome, great location and ambiance. Took very good care of our gluten free member. All steaks were great, one medium rare was full on rare. Highly recommend. I have been to their CSPRINGS restaurant and it is just as good.

A local recommended C'Boy * and we owe her one. Great dining with impeccable service and knowledgeable staff. Kitchen more than willing to accommodate requests. I had bison steak which was cooked to perfection and delicious. Mushroom side was great. Non meat eaters can easily survive in this meat man place. Only complaint is that fries were way too salty.... My husband and I went to Cowboy Star last Thursday for our anniversary. We started out in the bar for drinks while waiting for our table. The bartender was very helpful. Their cocktails were very well balanced, strong but flavorful. Our table was a super small booth in the back corner, right next to the register for the waiters to... More

We were staying at Mudville Flats and the manager, Mike, suggested we try Cowboy Star for dinner one night. As we love our steak, we booked a table and wandered down. It was less than a five minute walk from Mudville Flats which meant we could both enjoy a few drinks without worrying about the drive home. From the moment... More

I had a great experience. Even my vegetarian girlfriend enjoyed it. Started with a beef tartar and followed it with a dry aged in bone rib eye. They also have delicious creme brule.

It looks quite small and casual from the outside, and in a trending new area of East Village but not near anything notable so we were expecting good steak house. First surprise, it's very large inside. Large comfy booths, even a private room. Combination of people entertaining for business (Convention Center is very close) and locals like us. Service is... The presentation of the restaurant is magnificent, beautiful decor and excellent seating. The service was impeccable, knowledgeable attentive and engaging. The food was delicious, a great variety and beautifully cooked and presented. Expect to pay for all this but well worth it.
