Johnnie's is a MUST VISIT when in Tupelo. If you're feeling adventurous try the dough burger. Talk about a throwback to the "old days". Wow. Don't find many places serving these anymore. I'll stick with the regular all beef burger, thankyouverymuch. If you are lucky, the "Elvis booth" will be available when you visit. Good food and nostalgia. Hard to... More

Johnnie's is a vanishing breed, but hopefully this one will stay open forever. The food is old-fashioned. The Johnnie-burger (a Depression-era dough burger) has its devotees. It's probably the most popular item. The All-Meat burgers are fine and inexpensive. They serve everything from pimiento and cheese sandwiches to hamburger steak. All of it is pretty good, depending on individual taste.... More

If your looking for a local burger and not a chain burger, here's the place. It's a piece of history in Tupelo and well worth the calories.

We were very impressed with our trip to Johnnie's. The prices are amazing and the Elvis history really adds to it. We had the meat burgers, onion rings (large portions and good), apple pie, pecan pie (small) and moon pie. All had a good flavor. We would def stop there again (maybe on the way home =)).

I never eat at national fast food chains and prefer to help locally owned businesses. Johnnie's is very close to Elvis's birthplace and the must-see Tupelo Automobile Museum. The pulled pork sandwich and pecan pie made the perfect lunch. I do not care much for pecan pie but this place is an exception. The waitress, although super busy at lunch... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here in Elvis's local haunt. Lots of unique memorabilia on the walls. Food & coffee was simple but good. Great prices & friendly staff.

Step back in time and enjoy a great burger in a booth that Elvis sat in. Even the prices are a step back to happier times. Good food, great and friendly service, cool atmosphere, and plenty of memorabilia to check out. Try out the moon pies - get them heated up and enjoy a marshmallow and chocolate treat. Even if... You will feel transported back in time when you visit Johnnie's. Not much has changed since Elvis frequented the place. Simple southern favorites like a hot ham and cheese on loaf bread, burgers & fries, and egg or pimento cheese sandwiches can be found on the menu.

We stopped for lunch after a visit to Elvis Presley's birthplace. We both had cheese burgers and fries. My wife tried the "dough" burger and loved it. The place was packed but serve was fast and very friendly. Our waitress was very attentive ( we sat outside) and super friendly. We'd recommend everyone try this.

To.me there's nothing better than a local burger joint. Especially one with a history. Johnny's has all of the above. This is a unique burger experience and you must try the dough burger! Mighty fine! Great food and service are on the menu here!
