A wonderful little bakery in Boston’s old north end. This part of Boston is full of Italian bakeries but this is where we stopped and then retuned for a second round. Very sweet people running the place to boot!

This is a 24 hour bakery and by far the best in Boston. They have a great variety of desserts and also a few sandwiches!! You should definitely try this bakery!!

Certainly a spot catering to the locals, this is bakery is not flashy like Mike's. Just good pastry and solid quick food (panino, arancini, slices). I dropped in here by chance and had the best arancini outside of the home that I have ever had....More

The chocolate chip cannoli was phenomenal! The tiriamisu was good a little strong. The prices are reasonable and the selection of all desserts and cannolis is incredible! $5 minimum for credit cards.

Hard to get to, hard to park and Mike's Pastries are bigger and beter! No place to sit and enjoy your treat and when we got back to our hotel to eat it, I wasn't impressed.

Tried my first arancini today at Bovas. It was a pepperoni and cheese filled ball of scrumptiousness. The rice was perfectly cooked and and then deep fried to perfection. Needing a dessert to follow this I opted for a chocolate dipped cannoli. Another great choice....More

A recent trip to Boston allowed me to visit Bova's for the first time in a couple of years. Just as I remembered, the 24-hour schedule and nearly endless selection make up the perfect combination for this North-end destination. The bakery items are always fresh,...More

Stayed in a condo right up the street from Bova. This place is open around the clock, and always bustling! Visited a couple of times. Had a sandwich one evening, pasta another, and pastries on both occasions. The family working there is so incredibly friendly...More

Stopped in for a ricotta pie and left with a box of cannoli this is a favorite of mine cause I can get what I need 24/7. No hesitations recommending this shop. The only issue is parking but for me it’s a stones throw walk...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Bova's is an institution and open 24/7. You will need to take your goodies elsewhere to eat. Try the Greenway when the weather is warmer.
