Sophisticated Italian. Very good service for the meal. Great wine selection. Asparagus soup was tasty but a bit salty. Main courses were all enjoyable and generous is size.

Pro: This is a white tablecloth place. Delicious Italian, nicely plated, professionally served. Nice wine list. Three of us had pasta dishes and two of us had seafood dishes -- and at the end of the meal, we could have all joined the 'clean plate' club! Water glasses were frequently refilled, but after the coffee was served the wait staff... More

Shared a wonderful meal here with a large group in the upstairs room. Was loud, as another reviewer mentioned - but the entire restaurant seemed to be a bit noisy - definitely a cool, place-to-be atmosphere. Despite that, our meal was terrific. The white bean puree in olive oil that accompanies bread at the beginning of the meal was the... More

This is a place for the Millenials. The food is excellent; but, oh, is it noisy! I asked for gin-on-the-rocks and was served THE best gin I have ever had. And the food was equally outstanding. But for older people the ambient noise was unpleasant. My hearing is still good, but I had to strain to have a conversation with... More

The food here is super, but you get the distinct impression that staff have sort of given up on the place. They seemed to be hanging around waiting for guests that didn't come, chatting with each other in little groups. This is not a professional ambiance for a restaurant that charges top dollar. Our waiter was okay, but a but... More

I feel bad, we had a bunch of allergies at our table and a lot of questions. Our group was high maintenance but Fredis and I think her name was Kate, took care of us and were happy to do so. They never gave us attitude and kept coming back for more. I can't thank them enough for making sure... More

Great special night out atmosphere, great location if you use the T. Otherwise highs and lows. The meal started brilliantly with a unique take on onion soup that was both creative and delicious (words I rarely combine in the same sentence). But then the Caesar salad was mediocre: undistinguished dressing, supermarket level romaine, little parmesan, one lonely anchovy. We both... More

Lucca Back Bay is the sister restaurant of Lucca in the North End. The Kitchen, headed by Andres Cruz, embraces classic Italian cuisine with a contemporary approach. Andres works closely with the finest purveyors and local farmers to ensure that nothing but quality produce enters his kitchen. From house-made pasta and breads, to handcrafted desserts, the cuisine is a thoughtful, well executed, process.

Lucca Back Bay offers two dining styles. The elegant main dining room at Lucca Back Bay is the perfect place to relax and enjoy world-class cuisine and exceptional service in a fine dining atmosphere. The cozy and intimate lounge at Lucca Back Bay is a great place to hang out after work, whether that's at 5pm or 1am. We have been told that we have the best burger in town, a staple on our bar menu which is served nightly until 1am. We stay open until 2am every night, with a large industry following, and feature a large collection of house-infused spirits.

Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
