Lovely surroundings, excellent service. The soup was excellent, the beef tender and flavorful. The vegetables weren't very special, and I know the rolls have a great reputation but they're a bit on the bland side. The Boston Cream Pie was delicious, though. Overall, it was nice but not one of the best dining experiences I've had in Boston.

I tried this restaurant for lunch and dinner since I stay in the Omni hotel. The setting is very classic, the service is super. The dishes - delicious, in particular, the famous Boston Creme Pie, exceeds my expectation- something you must have, no matter how full you are. What can be improved further is the wine list - it has... More

We had dinner at the restaurant on our last night staying at the Omni Parker House. The reservation was smooth and easy. Their dress code was not strict. No sport team outfit is allowed. We got seated right away. The servers were very polite and efficient. They went out of their ways to make our dinner pleasant. They didn't have... More

We had Saturday brunch, which was all ala carte offerings (a buffet is offered for breakfast, served until 11AM, but not for brunch, which begins at 11:30). The beautiful and historic room was special, as were the standout Parker House rolls. My husband had the chicken and waffles (he loved it) which came with 4 crispy and not-at-all-greasy pieces of... We stayed at the Omni Parker for a few nights over Thanksgiving and reserved a table for Thanksgiving dinner at Parkers given its reviews on some websites as a "must experience". We had breakfast there that morning which was plentiful despite only being a buffet as it was the holiday (they still charged full price) but there was no cold... More

Had Sunday brunch here. The food was very disappointing given the price and reputation. The Bloody Mary had way too much horseradish, no spice, and no garnish, the hash browns were served cold, and the rest of our food was just mediocre. The service was not great, they were friendly but very slow -- soup and Bloody Mary came after... More

We made a reservation but due to the protests we were a little late. No problem because the dining room was pretty quiet. The host stand was completely unmanned and there was absolutely no staff in the dining room. One of my colleagues went to the front desk to find someone, and I managed to make eye contact finally with... More

For a restaurant in the "$$$$" tier, the customer service is completely sub-par. The only good news is that the food is decent (not outstanding), and the room is lovely. But neither is worth the price or the inadequate customer service. Making a reservation by phone is nearly impossible. I called and left a message with my name and number,... More

While I usually find a local, counter-type restaurant for breakfast when traveling, being tired and pressed for time, I had breakfast at Parker's Restaurant where I was staying at the Parker House. The ambience is first class with wood paneling and white table clothes. The service and food were excellent. I accidentally left some papers at my table, and the... More

Went on a Saturday evening, was not extremely busy in the restaurant. Took a while to be able to give our drink order as well as getting our drinks. Ordered the pan seared foie gras and the lump crab cake as appetizer, both were excellent. As entrees we ordered the sea food paella and steak, we enjoyed these too. Wanted... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
