Great spot! Very historical place with a good drink and food menu. The fish and chips and chowders are especially famous.

After climbing the Bunker Hill Monument, it is a short but steep (downhill) walk to the tavern. Arriving at noon on Saturday, we were able to get a high top in the bar with no wait. My wife had the BLT; my son, the French...More

We ate lunch there with our 2 teenaged sons after touring the Constitution and Bunker Hill. Really neat to eat lunch where people so important to our country's history used to hang out. Really small place - I thought it would have been bigger. We...More

We ate lunch here after visiting the Bunker Hill Monument. My daughter suggested it because she knows how much I love historic places and while it looks fairly modern on the outside, much of the inside is originally from the 1700-1800s. Our waitress was very...More

While in Boston on business was able to take a small tour of Charlestown and stopped here for dinner. Excellent food, and felt as if walking back in time.

We have been here five days and had chowder from a different restaurant each - this is the best so far! The historic setting is very interesting and staff was great!!

They serve some of the best Clam Chowder in the Boston area and have an excellent list of beers. Paul Revere was a regular and George Washington drank here.

Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight
lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit.
Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge
from the North End or take the scenic water locks to
Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll
down cute Main street, wandering up the windy
residential streets to Monument Square, where you can
learn about the city’s history along with a great view
