We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday and I left wanting to go somewhere else for another bite because I was still hungry. We decided to be adventurous and do the 4 course chefs choice....might have been our first mistake. The first meal was a brussel sprout and orange salad. It actually wasn't too bad, but the fact that... More

I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. Staff and ambience were great. Seating was a little tight but given that it's called Ten Tables I guess that is to be expected. The appetizers and cocktails we ordered were all delicious. Both our entrees were extremely salty. I am a liberal salt user, so it has to be extreme for... More

Ten Tables absolutely lives up to its reputation as one of the coziest places in all of greater Boston. It's small, intimate, and super inviting with a bar that seats 4 and (I'm guessing) just 10 tables. The food is even better than the atmosphere. I went most recently for their Sunday Supper which is a $40/pp price fixe with... More

I did have high hopes for this place. We went here for a Sunday dinner. First, at the time of reservation they don't mention that it is pre-fix menu only and that a la carte menu is not available. Fine. The service is friendly and very polite, but a bit too intrusive. The food was very average. Oh, and some... More

You can be sure of getting an excellent meal at Ten Tables. You won’t get the latest foams and forages, but you will get well-thought-out flavor combinations and first-quality ingredients. Our meal started with a complementary small glass of celeriac soup; we were tempted to order a bowl of it. We then shared a starter of Pilsener-steamed mussels with garlic... More

Very unassuming from the outside, incredible food on the inside! We did the chefs tasting and it was delicious. A hidden gem.

enjoyed the restaurant food very good it was noisy but still could hear the people we were with. Sat near the kitchen. there is no valet parking which is a problem sometimes in the area. Would go again.

I was looking forward to eating here but found the food good but not excellent and everything was over-priced. Very expensive meal. Service was ok

Ten Tables is one of my favorite spots. It has the cozy feel of a local neighborhood spot and the sophistication of a big city restaurant. The service is always great. This past visit, I arrived for a 7:15 reservation and they were already out of the fish and lamb option. That was a big disappointment. The wait was extraordinarily... More

With another couple, we had dinner here recently. It was overall a mediocre dining experience. Two couples ordered a bottle of pro secco. When poured, it was warm. We all tried the special soup of the evening, watermelon gazpacho. It was basically a broth with no pureed or fixed vegetables or fruit. It was seasoned with something that tasted liked... More

Staying in Jamaica Plain

Neighbourhood Profile
Jamaica Plain
This Boston neighborhood feels like a distinct community unique and separate from the bustle of other areas. Beautiful Victorian homes, restaurants with an emphasis on being eco-friendly and providing local and organic food, and a large Hispanic community. Visit Centre and South streets for restaurants, cafes, and little shops. The Arnold Arboretum is a beautiful, large green space well worth a visit if you venture to JP.
