It's always crowded, and the servers are busy so there is not much ceremony in ordering or the delivery of food, but everything is tasty. We had the bolognese, ravioli, burrata, and a pesto dish - all were excellent.

After researching several potential restaurants in the North End on line, we selected Trattoria di Monica and Uber ed our way to the address, only to find it closed for renovations. It would be nice if they posted that on their website!

Trattoria Di Monica has two restaurants in the North End. Both are excellent. The last time I dined there for the first time I ordered fried calamari, one of my favorites. I am a fan of calamari and have had it may time. When I...More

Restaurant was full, but we were able to sit in the bar. No worries, as long as we got to eat! I had the chicken parmesan and my friend had the lobster ravioli. The servings were quite adequate and delicious. The bread served beforehand was...More

I went to Monica's on a Friday night with 3 friends. David made recommendations from everything from the wine to appetizers to entrees to dessert. The food was amazing and the server David was an absolute delight!

Had confirmed reservations only to be turned away at the door being told they were over booked and would have to wait at least a hour to hour and a half for a table already booked! Seriously why take reservations??

Had a very nice early dinner there on Sunday. They offer both the dinner menu and a lunch menu, we opted for full dinners. Started with a nice selection of breads and breadsticks. The scallops (favorite of the house) were perfectly cooked, and the pasta...More

Small. Quaint. Fantastic. Try any of the specials. First Italian restaurant I've been to where every single pasta noodle is made in house, and you can taste the difference.

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

We saw people dressed casually at this restaurant. I would not think that you will have a problem.
