Let me first say that Mike's pastry has the best way of promoting their business. While walking on the Freedom Pass I saw a bunch of people with white boxes and blue writing "Mike's Pastry" . I had to try it and it did not disappoint!

The line was out the door, but there are several people working, so it goes quick. There are a few tables but most people take their items to go. There are several choices of dessert, but it looks like they are most famous for cannolis. The chocolate cream and the ricotta are both good, not overly sweet, which suits me.... More

Every time we head to Boston, we make every effort to stop in Mikes for pastry's. Today was the best, no line walked right in order a mix of pastry and chose to eat one extra at the small tables inside. Love this place, box them up and placed in a clear plastic bag. So look around and see how... More

Delicious canals and flavors for many tastes, such as the original, chocolate chip and more. Desserts are appealing and there are so many! The cappuccino is great, too. Fun to stand in line with other visitors to the North End. We have often seen Bruins players at Mike's Pastry.

I love cannolli, and after seeing Mike's Pastry boxes being toted around by dozens of tourists throughout the day, we decided it was worth a try- after our yummy dinner at Giacamos. The line was surprising quick- the shop was packed when we entered, but we were served within ten minutes. There were so many beautiful treats to choose from-... More

Absolutely a must for dessert when in the neighborhood!! Get it to go and enjoy sitting in a park. It will be busy so don't give up. Just know what you want and order.

I guess if you are only looking for a string tied box this is your place. Staff miserable and cranky. Long lines. Purchased a number of items freezer burned or just ok. Tourist Trap.

Had to stop by here while on a Boston weekend trip, got some cookies and cheesecake. Cheesecake was excellent, cookies were good but not the best, attitude was bad! The person that helped me with my order was kind of rude and was rushing me-very off putting. It's ok to go once but I'd not come back

But not phenomenal to justify a huge line up. Seriously!! Its good.. probably one of the best.. But some reviews make it sound like its the best thing on the planet. When they taste like they do in sicily.. then it'll be awesome..

Huge line outside that moved surprisingly fast. Got to the counter and couldn't believe all the pastry. It's spectacular. A sight that everyone in the world should see some day. I got a Pistachio Cannoli was was delightful. Perhaps it was the best cannoli I've ever had.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
