Stopped at the Harvard location for breakfast. Had a chocolate chip cannoli which was perfectly filled, and the shell still crisp. My friends shared a lobster tail, which they said was wonderful as well, and big enough to share.

There was a line out the door when we visited but it moved quickly. The pistachio cannoli was to die for. The cream puff had the custard like cream which is not my favorite but the almond croissant was very good. The choices of cannoli was the largest I have ever seen!!!

Mikes has the best cannoli in the world. Hands down. Yes try the other places but you will come to agree that nothing touches Mikes pastry.

everyone knows about mike's, and it's a real tourist joint, but man, it's a mean cannoli they put out. local atmosphere aside, the espresso cannoli kicks butt! i will compare all other cannoli to this thing. boom goes the dynamite.

We were told this was a "must" stop while in the area. We were not disappointed @ all!! Don't let the long line scare you away - it moves quick. The staff was super helpful! They take cash only. We tried another similar place across the street & Mike's was the clear winner!! They know their pastry stuff - you... More

If you're in the North End definitely skip dessert at whatever restaurant you go to and hit Mike's for a cannoli. Great selection and they're huge, easy for more than one person to share. The chocolate dip and pecan caramel are personal favorites. Make sure you bring cash bc they do not accept credit cards. The lines can be long... More

When in Boston, the North End is the place to go for the best Italian! And when in Boston, Mike's Pastry is the place to go for an after dinner treat! The cannoli's and moon pies are absolutely yummy and delicious! The Florentine cannoli is my fave for sure! Stop by this iconic pastry shop...the lines move so fast that... More

The line here is ridiculous. However, if you like Italian pastries, especially cannoli, then wait for it. They have over 10 different kind. I wouldn't do this on a regular basis but if you're a visitor, I would recommend it. I waited about 30 mins but got 4 different kinds of cannoli, along with other pastries, and I ate it... More

Kept hearing about this Pastry shop on our bus tours. We went one day but the line was SO long (literally out the door and to the end of the block) that we went back another time and found out why they are such a hit. Great pastries here, if you get the chance go hungry and buy up :-)

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
