We went for a late lunch here and we were not dissapointed. The pizza was great, the beer selection nice and the staff was pleasant. As a tourist I really enjoyed the american feel to it.

I was looking for a new place to have dinner before a Northeastern University hockey game and found Woody's reviews on line. We met our friends there fairly early on a Saturday evening and the place as almost full. We ordered two pizzas, one veggie and the other a meat lovers and both were quite good. Excellent beer list and... More

KW and I arrived a bit before his #1 son and g.f. Woody's has a large selection of beer which I noticed was the main liquid of consumption, so when I asked the bartender which of the wines open would be the freshest, he kindly took time to explain that they consume as much wine and it's never corked. I... More

We went there twice and those two visits couldn't have been more different. On both occasions the pizzas were among the best we've had. Really. The place was quiet, and there were tables available, which is a real treat in Boston. The atmosphere was also nice, and the prices were very reasonable. However... On our first visit, our table was... More

Visited over Thanksgiving weekend. After walking all day, found this great place near the Hilton. The appetizer, calamari, has sweet pepper rings. A good surprise. Various craft beers in tap and great service. We ordered two pizzas and not disappointed with taste (Kitchen Sink & Jamaica spice). I recommend this cozy spot.

We were in town for four days and ate here twice, it was that good! A friend who had grown up in Boston told me we had to try a pizza with Linguica sausage. It is a Portuguese sausage (sort of like pepperoni, but better!) and we found Woody's. The Pizza was delicious, salads were wonderful and the staff couldn't... More

The beers are good and so is the food. Richard and the other staff sound like they're auditioning for Cheers (in the best possible way).Interesting regulars, conversation if you want it, and a good place to rest your feet after a long walk

We have been here twice in the past few months. There buffalo wings are among the top 3 for us as a family. They jerk rub the wings, and then buffalo sauce them. Their menu has a great offering of apps, salads and entrees. Our group tired the pork chops, PEI mussels, burgers, steak and cheese, buffalo wings, and fish... More

The food at Woody's is really good and reasonably priced. Nice beer selection in a quaint restaurant. The servers were attentive and helpful. We visited twice during our long weekend.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
