We reserved a room for a large graduation party. The service was impeccable, as was the food- my husband is a filet connoisseur and he can attest to the preparation and flavor of their steaks (absolutely fabulous!) Everyone in our group stated that their food was the best. The desserts are wonderful as well. (You've got to try the cheese... More

If you are looking for a steak meal in Boston this is the place to go. located right on boyston street just steps from the prudential center shops. We had 5:45 reservations before our evening with the Boston Pops. We were seated promptly. This is a relatively upmarket steakhouse and what they do they do very well. Nothing special about the decor but to their credit we asked for a quiet table and they found one for us straight away. The service was quiet, efficient and friendly without the over-the-top gushing that one finds all too often. And the food was high quality,... More

I went with a group of 8 people who all ordered steak and wouldn't stop talking about the porchini topping that was amazing. I don't eat red meat so ordered the grilled asparagus (divine) and the French onion soup, which was the largest, most delicious soup I'd ever head. The servers were excellent. Dessert was divine.

Food was pretty good but not great. Is overrated in our opinion. Way too pricey for what we had. There are better places in Boston.

We were celebrating a graduation and the restaurant prepared a nice complimentary desert for the table. The decor is typical established steak house and if you have been to any of the other Capital Grilles you wont be disappointed. We ordered a variety of tasty appetizers as well as a selection of different steaks. All were cooked perfectly. We ordered... More

In itself, Capital Grille was excellent. I very much like a proper rare steak and asked the server for this. Considering the prices and quality of cuts, I expected it to be spot on, but unfortunately it was overcooked. The food was still excellent, but not exactly what I had been hoping for.

Its owned by a large restaurant group, and its now a chain. But its your classic steak place. Its in the top five of your best steak joints. Great for business and a fantastic date place. I love their sides. Break your piggy bank before you go, because great is expensive.

We've been there just after arrivig from Europe and it was great treatment of the post-flight syndrome. Starters (seafoods) very good and the oysters were just fantastic. The salads - perfect, good evidence of invention of the chief. Stakes - perfect. I gave up the dessert but my colleagues really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to be there again.

They met all our expectations. The restaurant combines a menu of both dry-aged steaks and seafood. We were deeply impressed with the dry-aged steaks and the Tuna. I am always sceptic to Tuna, but this was probably the best I have ever tasted. Only problem is that you have to visit more than once. Wine list on ipad was interesting,... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
