We came for lunch at about 12:15 pm without a reservation. There were only a few tables left which filled up shortly afterward. We had calamari in gratella and a wild mushroom pizza. The calamari was tasty but too chewy and the pizza was greasy....More

We visited with a party of 8 people and we all had a great meal! We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We sat at a nice round table where we all had room to spread out. There is parking around, but we used...More

I visited Ristorante Toscano for the first time, four times in one month! It's a small, quaint, upscale restaurant with a small bar area, and a great appetizer menu. I recommend the Polpettini Fiorentina (veal-beef-pork meatballs), the Verdure Alla Griglia (Charcoal-Grilled Vegetables), and the Caprese...More

My hubby and I visited Toscano for an anniversary date night recently. It was a perfect location and fun, energized environment. The service was great and wine list a match for most. The food was good but for the most part under seasoned. The carpaccio...More

Forget the north end - this is the best Italian restaurant in Boston. One of our favorites for years. Always consistent quality of food, drinks and service! Their risottos are the best I've ever had outside of 1 restaurant in Burbank, Italy. If you want...More

The only reason that I did not give this five stars was my preference for a greater range of pasta choices. But what we had was superbly executed, including the appetizers (bruschetta, calamari). Wine selections were broad but reasonably priced. Service was efficient although not...More

My wife and I appreciate a good variety of Italian food but don't like to fight the crowds in the North end. Very good wine list at reasonable prices.

It's too bad they are not a part of Open Table reservations. Call when you get into town. The North end is a close 15 minute walk from that area for more choices of Italian foods.
