I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and it was fantastic - could have used a little more sauce. My mother ordered the eggplant that was loaded with cheese that covered her entire plate and had to scrape it off. Better than average tasting food and the atmosphere was pleasant. Small restaurant but good. My biggest complaint is that our water was... More

The restaurant is small and nothing fancy, but the food was wonderful. Honestly, the chicken saltimbocca was one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in years! There were 4 additional members of my family and everyone was very happy with their meal!

I had dinner there last night with my family. I had the mussels as appetizer and their Ciopino for dinner . Both were amazing. The best Ciopino (white) that I have ever had. Our waiter was great, gave good recommendations for everyone. Highly recommend it for good food, good staff and great prices.

This is a bad version of the worst kind of Americanization of Italian food. Heaps of red sauce and cheese. Iceberg lettuce salad with tasteless tomatoes. Lobster Ravioli with no apparent lobster and smothered in a gritty pink sauce. Service was surly at best and the creepy guy counting the receipts sitting at a table right inside the front door... It was raining after an appointment at Mass General Hospital and we found Antonio's for lunch close by. Food was delicious and affordable! We now have a new lunch spot!

It's opposite MGH. I had the mussels in white wine for starters. It was really good and there was a mountain of it. Really pleased. I had some shrimp pasta special of the day as the mains. There was a lot of it - it was OK. I really wanted dessert but was stuffed so I had the tiramisu to... More

We were in Boston for appointments at MGH. Unfortunately, there was a winter storm, and our flight was cancelled. There was nothing else open in the area -- including the grocery store-- except Antonio's. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were so please not only with the quality of the food, but by the quality of service.... More

Restaurant seemed busy so I thought it must be good. Don't know what I was missing but we had the Gnocchi Al forno and Chicken Marsala. Both mediocre at best. Sauce on pasta was bland. Staff was nice. Had these meals to go.

Wow. Just wow. Used to come here when we lived in beacon hill. Went the other night and was amazed how it has declined. Chef completely mailed it in. Two very basic pasta dishes with meatballs couldn't have been more bland. It was as though the dish had been leftovers that had been reheated. The sauce was unbelievably disappointing. No... More

Staying in Beacon Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Beacon Hill
Visit this historic and ritzy Boston neighborhood to soak up its classic New England charm as you stroll down cobblestoned, gas-lamp lined streets. Bring your walking shoes, camera, and select a nice day to wander through the hilly neighborhood and check out its exclusive addresses. Louisburg Square, Mt. Vernon street, Chestnut street and the extremely narrow and widely photographed Acorn street make a nice walking path. Make sure to meander down Charles street to poke into boutiques and antique shops, cafes, and restaurants on this quaint shopping street. Don’t forget to catch a glimpse up close of the State House with its beautiful and iconic dome.
