This place is enormous and welcoming; the perfect spot after a cold day in the city. The menu offers the reliable standards of Italian-American cuisine: meatballs, red sauce, chicken Marsala, butternut squash ravioli. Prices are reasonable. Service was outstanding. I came with a group of about 20 people. Within ten minutes of ordering they started bringing out the food, and... More

Very very delicious italian food. We odered a menu, where you just order an extra portion of your favorite. What you do not eat at the table you can get home

We dropped in late Friday night, got a table right away. Food was fantastic, exactly what we wanted after 5 hour flight before tucking into bed. We got a good wine recommendation and our waiter was lovely. It's a huge place, which makes it feel a little less intimate but whatever, food was great and we enjoyed watching the people.

I had dinner at Maggiano's late last month when visiting Boston for a Conference and was absolutely delighted! The atmosphere was great, the service was top quality, and the food was absolutely outstanding! I had the four cheese ravioli and I couldn't have been happier! I highly recommend this restaurant to all those looking for a unique Italian experience!

My husband and I went to Maggiano's for a pre-dinner appetizer and cocktail last night. (The restaurant we had our dinner reservation at didn't open until 5 and we were early, hungry and thirsty.) The martinis were average and the calamari were chewy. The side of marinara was delicious so I would suggest sticking to the Italian dishes at this... More

We selected a family meal package from the menu. I didn't eat the entire next day I was that full. They had an excellent range of quality Italian dishes. I particularly enjoyed the lasagne. The gave us a free entre ( four people) because we hadn't been before. Service was fast and friendly.

Chain restaurants often miss the mark, but Maggiano's offers good food at reasonable prices. They offer many Italian staples, but they add meat to almost all the pasta dishes. (Baked ziti with sausage, etc.) They are accomodating, however, and will make a dish without meat. The bread is delicious and the desserts are great!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
