The restaurant has a good and refined atmosphere, very bright but too much noisy, the feeling is to be in a familiar classy place. Before dinner, I enjoyed a very good cocktali at the bar: Amaretto Disaronno (pretty rare in Boston restaurants) & Orange Juice, my compliments to the bartender. Later, I tasted a wisely cooked filet mignon with mashed... More

If you're a foodie and are up to a luxury dining experience look no further. Food, service and bar selection are truly 5-star. Keep in mind all those things come at a price and it will not be the cheapest dinner option in Boston.

Our firm had it's Christmas party here for 13 people. Everything from appetizers to desert was wonderful. Service left nothing to be desired. What you want, you get. Way pricing for my income, however, for a special evening out - ENJOY!!!!

Grill 23 & Bar was a recommendation from a friend that lives in the area. Was visiting Boston and looking for a great steak place. Grill 23 does not disappoint - from the steak perspective. The appetizers and drinks, nothing to write home about. The crab cake had more cake than crab. And you really can't screw up a Tito's... More

We prefer the bar for dinner in order to mingle with the other patrons. Have met some really interesting people there. And watching the bartenders work their magic is very interesting. The staff is always friendly and attentive regardless of whether you show up in jeans or a suit. The cocktails are fantastic, the food is perfect every time, and... More

On the train from NY to Boston I asked the lady sitting next to me, does she can recommend a good restaurant in Boston, she said we must go to Grill 23 and that it's her favorite. We end up having dinner there twice in the same week and it became my favorite too.

This restaurant has pleasant and efficient service, a nice atmosphere, a (very) extensive wine list, and the food is pretty good. Unfortunately, for the price-point, "pretty good" isn't really good enough. The snapper crudo was a decent starter, with nice citrus notes. The beef tenderloin main was OK - good but not exceptional meat cooked just as I asked for,... More

My wife and I just finished a fantastic dinner at Grill 23. It truly was a perfect 10 for overall dinning experience. From the moment we arrived to the good byes on the way out it was all great! Our servers John and Hector were excellent. Our sommelier Hugo was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding! Great job... More

Been to Grill 23 several times before last two times not impressed at all. The steaks were average but not worth the price and the sides just OK. Very loud always felt rushed and the restaurant needs a remodel.

Great place to go for lunch or dinner in Boston , old steak house , warm and pleasant. Great staff , excellent sommelier, delicious food . Their clams chowder is amazingly good.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
