This is the only restaurant in the hotel and while it is good, it is on the pricey side and it has, for me, a limited menu. However, everything I ate was delicious. The duck breast was heavenly, the steak and frittes also wonderful. Breakfast is super expensive - I had fruit and yogurt and coffee and it was $22.00.... More

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend when we decided to enjoy a nice evening downtown, shopping and just enjoying the city. For a restaurant with so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we were appalled at how bad this restaurant was. We arrived right on time for our reservation, and were seated promptly by one of two relatively friendly hostesses.... More

We had dinner here for New Year's Eve and were very impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, service is attentive and the food was superb. The baguette at every table is to die for (frankly I could have just eaten that and been done with it--I think I did eat most of it now that I think about it...). The... More

10 of us went here after a Christmas concert. Drinks and wine were very good. Kept bringing us bread which we all loved. Many different meals ordered all were very good. The hit of the night was short ribs bourguignon. Those who ordered it loved it and thoes of us that did not begged for seconds on our taste of... More

Brasserie Jo has a really fun theme, and the food is quite excellent! Drinks are very pricey. Waitstaff is attentive and friendly (Alex). Chocolate Mousse is an absolute DREAM come true!

Good spot for a pre-Pops or pre-Symphony dinner, which is why our family was here. Food is good, but nothing extraordinary, especially for the high prices charged.

After some research into certain restaurant types in the area, I was disappointed. Upon early arrival (5 minutes) for a dinner reservation, I was surprised to see the dining room not packed. There was a party of four just ahead of me waiting to see a host/hostess. It took ~7 minutes before any staff member came to the podium to... More

Reasonably priced Sunday brunch ($25) but limited menu. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, fruit, breads and cereal. Location is nice and service was fair to good. Coffee was good but our server would not leave the pot on the table and spilled the coffee every time he poured it (What's was up with that). It is a nice spot... More

A nice French brasserie in Copley Square. The food is always consistently good, especially the Steak Frites. Nice warm French bread and marinated carrots start your meal. The waiters and servers are attentive. And the profiteroles for dessert with unlimited chocolate sauce are to die for! But on Christmas Eve, we expected a bit more. Even with reservations, the hostess... More

Recently returned to the Brasserie as part of a group of six friends, all professional women over 60, who had jostled complex schedules to get together. We had a relatively early reservation, at 6PM, and only one person had later plans for an 8 PM show. The parking valet and hostess could not have been more helpful. In short order... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
