I chose to go to Mistral with my girlfriend fir my Birthday this year in March . I have always lived this restaurant and once again it didnt disappoint. It’s a classy restaurant with excellent trained staff who really make you feel that your money...is being well spent. I ordered the Duck for main course which was slow cooked for 4 hours in a red wine reduction risotto. Simply delicious. My waiter was very knowledgeable also on the perfect wine pairing. Ofcourse we had a desert because we know they have an excellent pastry chef, you just have to . It’s so worth getting dressed up and going with a good foodie friend a treat.More

Nice elegant location, very good setting, BUT: if you offer Romanée Conti on the wine list you should not present cheapest glassware And San Pellegrino is a no go when you can have one of the worlds best mineral waters , Saratoga , nearby. The...portions are gigantic, less is more and having no fish fork and fish knife, well reminds me my youth in a student dormitory The guy who pretends to be a kind of sommelier is very kind and definitely a nice guy, but frankly speaking has no clue what he is talking aboutMore

We have dined previously at Mistral. We liked the old menu, and pricing, better. Excellent professional staff. It’s getting too expensive in my view.

I have said "Great Food and Great Value" in comparison with other restaurants in Boston but prices are very high everywhere in Boston compared to the UK Notwithstanding this we received excellent service and the food was quite clearly prepared in a kitchen that knows...what it is about and if I return to Boston I will eat here again. We both had the foie gras parfait to start and it was simply magnificent served with warm brioche. I had a Beef Tenderloin with Asparagus for main course and it must have been cooked sous vide before searing because I have never eaten such a good fillet as this before in my life and I am 75. The potato accompaniment was lovely also with mash having been taken from a jacket potato and made into a delicious mash with the addition of horseradish before being placed back into a hollowed out jacket potato for presentation. On top of the steak was a perfectly fondant golf ball shallot. I was intrigued by the addition of a long thick but narrow slice of wholemeal toast perched on top of the plate which was a bit strange to an Englishman of the Old England variety from Chilmark Wiltshire UK. The Red Wine sauce was wonderful. My wife loves a Dover Sole and this was presented cooked to perfection off the bone just as if it had slipped off it's skeleton for convenience. Wonderful skill was at play here. We started with two lovely Kir's Royale and with wine available by the glass we each had a nice wine to go with our main course. I am really surprised by some of the other reviews on this restaurant but as a cook myself I could see the skill coming out of this kitchen and I really appreciate the work done by the brigade and front of house team who work terrible hours to make our evening special. Well done Mistral.More

This is an upscale French restaurant. I disagree with many of the reviews. The service is good, but the food is only good, not excellent.

It was a classic French restaurant. The quality was good, but it was a little bit more expensive that I thought. The food was good but nothing really surprising - for the price I would expected more.

Came here with my friend when visited Boston on our first leg of our Fall Foliage trip. All the reviews were right. Their food were excellent and so is the service. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. Bread was fresh from oven. We shared...the escargot…the sauce was so tasty we were dipping our bread on it. I ordered the osso bucco. Meat was tender it was almost falling off the bone. And the goat cheese polenta…oh so creamy. My friend ordered the tenderloin that was cooked to perfection. Finished our meal with some creme brûlée. They had a wide selection of wine. Make sure to reserve in advance as they are very busy. Also try to arrive early because parking is tight. Or just take Uber/Lyft. We made the mistake of assuming they still had valet parking (they no longer offer that). We got lucky that somebody was leaving the parking lot across the restaurant.More

This restaurant is not casual, so dress up a bit. Men were in collared shirts or dinner jackets. Women were in business or date night clothes. It is beautiful inside and the service is outstanding. I was especially impressed with the way the server and...manager handled an unusual situation. Highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the relaxing and enjoyable ambiance, and the professionalism of the wait staff.More

Remains best of boston at the ultra high end. Mistral provides excellent service and food. Their menu has something for everyone. Prices have increased significantly over the last two years. Their are 86 reasons to still have the rack of lamb. The serving size, quality,...and preparation remain worth it. The wine list is extensive. The Prisoner Cab at 120 was a reasonable option.More

Didn’t have to when we were there. Collared shirt and jumper were fine. Message the restaurant if in doubt.
