Went for a Saturday evening dinner. Had a reservation and we were seated immediately - that was the last good service we had. It seemed they were extremely understaffed - dinner for 2 took 1 hr. 45 min. In addition some of the food was cold, so it clearly had been sitting a while. Crab cakes were good but small... More

This restaurant has an excellent breakfast. I met up with some people for a business meeting over breakfast. The tables were spacious. The breakfast selection was excellent, and the food was delicious. There was a nice selection of breakfast foods. We chose a different meal in all three of us were extremely pleased with our food. Norman made me some customized drinks. I love the old fashioned with extra cherry juice. He made good drinks. Do try his drinks if you ever visit Boston. I came last summer, he made a good mojito and espresso martini.

This is our 3rd time eating at this restaurant. The food is great. The lobster grilled cheese is loaded with lobster and fantastic. The seafood ravioli, and grilled salmon also quality dishes. Clam chowder is good, but could have been a little warmer. The service is stealth-life. Just when I our water glasses were getting low, they miraculously got filled... More

Yesterday we tried to have dinner here. Although only one table was occupied te server was și confused that it took 20 minutes to take the order. O took clam chowder which was a litlle too smokey in taste. For the second course they hâd serious problems to identify which client order (a table of ten) and I remained without... More

This was a wonderful breakfast experience! The Avenue One restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Boston is very nice. It is spacious, with high ceilings and large windows, and the seating doesn't seem crowded. I was seated promptly at breakfast, and just as promptly, got up to take a look at the buffet options. My mind was made up when I... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
