I had the clam chowder and the baked cod. The baked cod was excellent. The chowder was a little watery and seemed to be missing something. But, service was good, the cod was excellent and it's worth the trip.

Great food and excellent service ! All kinds of seafood dishes along with steaks and other things. The Bang Bang cauliflower appetizer is a must ! Our service was so professional and helpful with some of our choices. Would return for sure!

The lobster my daughter consumed was sweet and super 😋. The Cioppino was not classic because the broth was not flavorful and contained too many mussels. The shrimp cocktail was delicious as was the the clam chowder.

We planned on going in for dinner, but got there too early. We just had a few drinks, but could not pass up the food so we just stayed and ate. It was GREAT.

Bad service, bad food and constant vacuuming at our hotel. Lots of options in the area- skip this one unless you want over-prices seafood, the rudest and slowest service and filthy atmosphere - very disappointing!

Heavy. Greasy. Not tasty at all. Expensive. I ate in Legal few years ago and it was very good they were famous for their hot the lobster. That time it was disappointing. I won't return

The food here was very good - not many options though. It had been recommended to us and while I'm glad we went, it wasn't as great as I was expecting.

I figured it was going to be a typical high volume, average food, visitor experience as it was on the heart of the waterfront. But the food, starting with the Calamari, was some of the best seafood I have had. And if the weather is...More

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods - really fresh fish. Enjoy ocean-side dining just steps from the New England Aquarium. Our restaurant couldn't be more convenient to the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and waterfront hotels. We think a visit to Boston must include a meal at Legal Sea Foods. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there's no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We've received a boatload of accolades including "Most Popular Boston Restaurant" (Zagat, 2011/2012), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Improper Bostonian, 2010), "Best Chowder" (Boston Magazine, 2010), "Best Seafood Restaurant" (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
