Avoid the crowds and waits at the out door area and sit indoors at the bar. Bartender Danny will take care of you and you won't be sorry with the food- It's high quality and delicious.

The average review is spot on for this place. Perfect spot to recommend a tourist given the style of food and location. However for locals the prices are just average and you can get similar quality at better establishments. If you are looking for crab legs this would be a must try spot. One thing to note is that this... More

What a waste of money. Came here looking for some good seafood in the evening. We ordered the chilled seafood platter. It was pathetic and bad. The shrimp were small and tasteless. The oysters and clams were not good. It came with a lobster tail and claw and some crab legs. Neither were anything special and a bit over cooked.... More

This restaurant is just a little tucked away. That said the patio style area which is by the seaside is just such a wonderful setting! A great place for Lobster and Crabs! Service was very good. It is community style seating on benches so be prepared to share your table with others...we did and did not find it intrusive, however... More

So many great spots to eat in Boston but the Barking Crab was like eating at a Cape Cod Seafood shack. A little bit pricey and portions a little small but the food was very good. I had the clam roll and my wife had the Chilled Lobster roil. Both were simple but perfectly prepared and tasty. Eating on the... More

Canal front, rustic place. Their specialty are crabs. Prices range from $20 per person. Good, simple, but delicious.

I loved the atmosphere and the drinks were good. I did order a naked lobster roll and it was just lobster on a bun. They forgot the drawn butter and by the time I got it, the whole thing was cold. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.

After a wonderful walk around Castle Island, we wanted to have a bite to eat - nothing fancy. We stopped in at the Barking Crab restaurant and although the big tables were booked, we were able to have wonderful seafood at the outdoor bar: superior crab cakes, perfectly prepared steamed clams, and fried calamari.

We just wondered in off the pier and fell in love with this place. We had no pre conception of what to expect and really only stopped in for a beer and to have a bite. Our server was also the bar manager. He was great and made some great recommendations on what beers they had. We also only ordered.... More
