My wife and I visited the museum and wanted a coffee to round off an enjoyable visit but.... One person serving behind the counter!! Advertise capaccino but not available!! Server did not smile or engage!! Surely on a Saturday you roster your staff accordingly? It is peak time so at least have two people serving. Attempting to save costs is... More

Cafe outside the Remis Auditorium. That's the plus, and it's open. But really, MFA management, please evaluate the Taste Cafe and the message it's sending. Boxed salad and wrapped cold sandwiches on white bread at a high price point say exactly this: "bad airport food." No way to reheat, so staff must say no to possible ways the food could... More

We visit the MFA just about every time we visit Boston. There are regular exhibitions of new collections. If you enjoy art, you will like this place.

Although you might be tempted to return to the larger, main restaurant downstairs, this venue has comfortable seating and is next to the beautiful gift shop. Fast service and moderate prices for sandwiches and deserts. Quality was very good.

We went for the Vermeer exhibit, but love the Americas wing, and always try to stop by there. The impressionists collection is also terrific.

Our club sandwich was flavorful and surprisingly fresh considering it was pre-made. The sweets were excellent and complemented the coffee very well. Prices were not bad considering Bravo and the sandwich and sweets were much lighter than the cafeteria fair. Oh and the service was fantastic.

What a delight to find such a lovely cafe in the museum. It is a quiet place to sit and relax while spending some time at the museum. The staff was efficient, the menu was delightful, and the food delicious. There were 6 of us and we shared the tomato salad, a cheese plate, vegetable tart, cod cakes, and salads.... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
