If you love cheese and salty foods this is the place. We got a charcuterie board, polpette, and the salty pig pizza. The cheese and meats selection was really good. They had a caerphilly cows milk cheese from wales, which I'm not obsessed with. Polpette was amazing-and in Italian. And I'd also recommend the pizza. Good beer selection as well... More

I guess that with a name like this it should not be surprising, but I found the pasta dishes to be very over salted. The food in general is good. I do not often like pseudo Italian food (the real thing is much better), but this restaurant has good ideas. The execution should improve.

As an Italian I'm always quite suspicious when I see in an American menu Italian dishes, and I would never enter a placeserving "fettuccine Alfredo" or anything like that... but here it is different. They have a selection of pig products (ham and analogous products) and of cheese from different parts of the world (ITA, ESP, USA,...). The result has... More

Tried the Salty Pig sandwich and was expecting a lot more. The bread and chips were very good, but the flavour combination of the salty pork did not do it for me. Although I did not try it, the pizzas and other dishes seem like there was potential.

I haven't been to this restaurant but I wanted to purchase a voucher for a friend as it looked good. However, my bank isn't American, so the company who normally processes the bill online couldn't do so. When I emailed, the staff were extremely helpful and, after a lot of effort on both parts, I managed to finally purchase said... More

Found this place on a "near me app" it was packed on a Tuesday night at 8:00 pm Good Pizza ( had the salty pig) and nice selection of local in tap beers. Open family style seating so loud but manageable. As expected great meat samplers!

Menu includes all of the important food groups: salty pork products, tasty cheese, stuff to go with those, and then pizza with salty pork and stinky cheese and garlic confit to add an edge. Add to that a diverse beer list and some most excellent cocktails. Open kitchen adds an energetic atmosphere, and service was superb and friendly without being... More

My wife and I are seniors with a limited amount of appetite, so we usually share most restaurant's standard orders of food and have plenty for the two of us. At the Salty Pig, we ordered the large Bucatini (with Jonah crab, slow roasted cherry tomato, and piri piri chili). What we got was about room temperature. And after a... More

Was on a business trip for a night. Stayed near Copley plaza, n the Salty pig showed up on my map... Was seated right away, excellent service. A great selection on tap. Waitress suggested the chorizo starter. Followed by crab'n pasta. Love, love, loved every bite.

I was tired after a long week of meetings and opted for a pizza for my last dinner. I had walked by the Salty Pig and so tried it. I ordered a pizza and olives. The olives were nothing special, but the pizza was quite good and the server was attentive. I was pleased that it wasn't too crowded or... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
