I was stuck in town for work on a Friday night in December and decided to take myself out for a nice seafood dinner! I decided on Legal Harborside because it was a 10 min walk from my hotel. I sat at the bar on the main floor. The clam chowder did not disappoint, The sushi was super fresh and... More

As per the brand, this is a proper New England-style seafood restaurant. 3 floors at this location afford nice views of the harbor and it's a nice atmosphere. 1st and 2nd floors are indoor seating with nice views and an excellent menu. 3rd floor has outdoor seating (when the weather cooperates) and an indoor lounge with a bar and a... Have not been to this location before, but enjoyed it just as much as other locations. Clam chowder, Arctic char, crab cake combo, cocktails, Boston cream pie were all very good. But the Powder Point oysters were just fantastic. My new favorite thing on the Legal Sea Foods menu. Service excellent too--Khelada did a great job. Will continue to eat... More

I have seen a few negative comments on here about Legal Harborside recently and was hoping that the restaurant would live up to expectations of the brand, my last visit to a Legal seafood restaurant was years ago back in Tysons Corner and I really loved it and couldn't wait to try out the Harborside when visiting Boston. I really... More

I couldn't believe how disappointed I was. A lady whom I met on an Amtrak train recommended me this place. When I tried it for myself, I didn't like it all. The service was great but overall, it one place I wished I had never went.

I went here with a big group, and the service was really outstanding. Charlie, our waiter, took great care of us and was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was acceptable, but certainly not worth the astronomical price tag. I understand that seafood is expensive, but if you are going to charge those kinds of prices, the seafood should be the... Really excited to come here after such great reviews and it's history of serving top fish and seafood. Very friendly professional staff, warm environment unfortunately let down by special dietry request ignored by chef which resulted in a ruined main meal. Very overpriced , very up market pushing upon pretentious . Paying for view. So disappointed.

First of all, I never write negative reviews, primarily because I enjoy pretty much every dining experience out. We have eaten here several times before, and always greatly enjoyed the food, service, and location/view. On this visit, however, we made an 8:00 pm reservation for a Sunday night, arrived 15 minutes early, and were kept waiting for overran hour as... More

Best fish I have ever had, in fact I don't even like fish but this was great. The ambiance was great, a little loud for talking with friends, but well worth the visit.

Beautiful atmosphere to view the harbor and enjoy a great raw bar before dining upstairs to a wonderful menu of appetizers and dinner. Service was outstanding and deserts? Had to have them too.

Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
