I have never been to such an atrocious restaurant. I should have taken it as a sign that this place had empty tables on a Saturday night, but I thought I'd give it a try. We were seated immediately and given menus. We ordered a large pizza and asked for two glasses of water. 10 minutes later, no water had... More

There was 7 of us. Got 3 pizzas. One was their special, another chicken barbecue, and shrimp scampi. Shrimp scampi, not much shrimp; butter & olive oil sauce. Friendly waitress.

Literally just left there. Had veal parm and it awful. Watery sauce out of a can with no flavor and the veal you couldn't even cut with a knife it was so tough. The salad was great! Came onto TripAdvisor while I was waiting for my food and that's the reason why I didn't say a word in the restaurant,... More

If I could give 0, I would. This was the worst restaurants we've ever been to. The food was absolutely terrible and way too expensive. But that was just the tip of the ice berg. The server brought us the menu while talking on the phone. When we were trying to pay, she simply handed us a sheet of paper... More

DO NOT GO INTO THIS RESTAURANT. Our first exposure when we walked in was a server with a carton of cigarettes exposed in his shirt breast pocket. I don't need to see that. Leave your cigs in the back, not where children can see and I have to look t it. We walked in and 3 different people wanted us... More

Was looking forward to a nice North End dinner. Didn't happen. Decor was okay. Service was so, so. After ordering my meal, lasagna, bread was brought to the table. It was burned on one side & came with nothing. No butter, oil, cheese, etc. Simple order took a LONG time, especially since there was only one other party in the... More

I went here with my daughter for lunch on a weekend day. The place was packed! The food was tasty, and the portions were huge. We took leftovers to go and had dinner, too. The waitstaff was friendly, even if sometimes things seemed bit busy. I would definitely go back.

With not a table to be had for a party of 5 in at least 10 Italian restaurants in North End on a Saturday night we were happy to be told that Spagnuolos had an empty table. Hmmm in hindsight there is a reason behind this but when you have 3 hungry kids who are tired of walking you go... More

I probably should give it 1 star out of spite, but 1 1/2 stars isn't available, but to give my review more cred, I'll give it 2 to be nicer than they. The family was wandering around the North End on a Saturday night (stupidly) without reservations in a light rain. While out front of La Famiglia Spagnulo, the wife... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
