Amazing, fresh food in a sexy upscale environment...What a great addition to Burlington's restaurant collection. Our servers and manager Ryan offered us great suggestions on which oysters to try and what to add that would enhance the natural flavor. Staff was genuinely interested in making our experience fun and informative. Fabulous service...food was delicious...cannot wait to go back again. Next... More

The food here is arguably good, but not good enough to compensate for the haughty, arrogant service. We dine out regularly and understand that someone can have a bad day and mistakes happen. This was far different. We were treated with disdain and irritation by all but one person. (Shout out to the friendly, bearded guy at the door. Yours... More

After reading the reviews, my family decided to go here after a Red Sox game. My husband and I were the first to arrive and asked for a table for 5 adults - the hostess was a sweetheart and could accommodate us as soon as the people left (they had already paid) so we went to order drinks at the... The Island Creek Oyster Bar is attached to the Commonwealth Hotel, making it very convenient when staying there, but would recommend reservations; it is always busy especially when there is a Red Sox's home game as it is very close to Fenway Park. I sat at the bar, had half a dozen raw oysters and the Prince Edward Island mussels... More

I enjoyed Island Creek Oyster Bar for dinner with my husband and a friend. Food and service were great. Good wine options, and a lovely setting. The restaurant is connected to a hotel but does not feel like a typical hotel restaurant--there is a separate entrance etc. Also, the bar next door is great!

This restaurant is in the top 15 restaurants in Boston. I found the food rather average and the service perfunctory at best. The waitress did not really show any enthusiasm for helping us select our meals or service in general. The Oysters were fresh, our mains were lacking taste and desert was OK. Would not go back again nor suggest... More

We visited this establishment on Wednesday April 5th. I love love LOVE seafood and I have a very severe allergy to shrimp protein and had my EPI pens in tow with me. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our waiter Logan. He was very personable. We explained to him of my shrimp protein allergy and that I had my epi... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
