We had their 6 course menu. (Chef's random choice). Thought they were very accommodating. Just needed to be more assertive I guess. My wife didn't want bread, she still had some breaded courses. Oh well, not a show stopper, but an experience dampener when you can't indulge in everything. Thought they should've cleaned our tables a bit more. It was... More

My wife and I visited here for the first time. The food was exquisite - French style fine dining. Waghu beef, foie gras, tortellini and the appetiser butter soup were all in outstanding . Best meal I have had in the USA for a long time. Great service. Expensive but worth it.

Ate lunch here during restaurant week. I had the "ribeye" whlch was a noisette of tasteless tough beef. My wife had the pasta, very small portion which was ok as was the desert. The service is spectacular- friendly and relaxed. The room is lovely, gray and understated. We have been meaning to come here since it opened- we finally did... More

A drive into Boston on a blustery March night brought us to elegant Menton for a birthday celebration. Our party of three was made to feel special from the moment the host took our coats and wished me a "happy birthday." We arrived early and were first guided to the modern and cozy bar where we ordered cocktails. We then... More

Went to dinner three of us. It was Monday and the restaurant was almost empty. Very nice place easy to get has valet but also lots of parking in the street. Very very fancy restaurant, has enormous impressive wine list. You have the option with small or large fixed menu or al cart which what we did. There is really... More

in short. something was terribly wrong on the kitchen. pre-fixé meal was mistimed and less than average. I recognize taste is completely subjective but what I can also recognize is when no effort is made, especially for the price charged. the front of the house was over working to make up for what was or was not happening in the... This is a difficult review to write, as we really, really wanted to like Menton. We also, however, had high expectations--expectations that were not met, especially given the price point at which Menton operates. As noted below, the food was subpar and, for many courses, left much to be desired. The service was equally spotty. Amongst our party, the dining... More

Took my girlfriend here for my birthday. I told them in advance and they printed special menus which was a nice touch. I went with the set course with wine pairing and each course was very good and the wine pairing was very good. For the courses seems I got some things different than my girlfriend so I'm not sure... Truly, you need James Joyce to describe the beauty, depth, and joy of this restaurant. Each course--really, each one!--was fresh and surprising and richly delicious. The mysterious warm spices in the crab, the dusting of pollen on the salmon (not joking), the multiple approaches to the foie gras: all of these subtleties made even familiar ingredients inviting, fresh, and hearty.... Very impressive This was one of the most impressive places I have been to in Boston. We went there to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. My husband called to make reservations and let them know the occasion when asked. We walked in and everyone at the reception congratulated us on our anniversary. Then they seated us and the menus had... More

Description
Menton, Chef Barbara Lynch's Fort Point fine dining restaurant, is the final concept to complete her Fort Point trifecta and joins neighbors Sportello and Drink. Located in FP3, the AIA award-winning luxury condominium complex, Menton radiates an understated elegance and offers several beautiful spaces to dine including the 60-seat dining room, a 12-seat Chef's Table, and the 45-seat private dining room. The restaurant, a glamorous expression of fine dining, was designed by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz of C&J Katz and features a subtle palette of grays with touches of silver and black. The cuisine of Menton displays the talent for precision and visual artistry across two seasonal tasting menus and a la carte selections for dinner daily, and a more casual a la carte menu for lunch Monday - Friday.

Neighbourhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
