After a few days in Boston with less than stellar food experiences, we were directed to Panza by a local. We told her we needed something casual (we were in shorts) and ok for a family - BUT we did not require a children's menu...More

Chose this place for our North End dinner when in town for a visit and it was a highlight of the trip. Everyone loved their food and the prices were reasonable. Service was good., Would happily go there again!

So many restaurants in the North end but this is a great find. Cute little restaurant, great ambience. Visited on my own but was made to feel very comfortable. I tried eggplant parmigiana for the first time, it was amazing. The waiter was lovely and...More

This is a small, very casual and very busy restaurant. It is also very reasonable. Bearing these things in mind you could not do better on the North End. We had excellent calamari, which is so often destroyed by others from over breading and overcooking....More

Probably the best veal Parmesan I have ever had. Tender and delicious. The bread and the perfect texture and chewy as it should be. Too full for dessert. The only draw back is it small and it gets loud. The service was wonderful.

Love this place. We have eaten at the many great Italian restaurants in the North End but feel Panza is best. The bread is crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The wine is very reasonably priced generally $22 a bottle. We shared...More

Start to finish, LOVED Panza! It was kind of crazy getting in to the packed restaurant with no 'desk', some people with reservations and nowhere to wait for those without! Isabelle was a perfect hostess managing waiting guests and being gentle but firm with those...More

Italian at Little Italy in Boston--what could be better, right? Maybe a Lean Cuisine at home? We were looking for a special meal in a special restaurant in a special section of town and went on a recommendation. Arrived at a small eatery that was,...More

We went to Panza on a Monday night after a Red Sox game. We waited 5 minutes at the door to make a reservation and returned 30 min later to be seated. The restaurant is relatively small and the prices were reasonable. Everything was very...More

In the North End I pretty much pick restaurants at random--with so many in a small area it seems like you really can't go wrong. The food at Panza was pretty good--I had the butternut squash tortelloni, which I recommend, and my mom enjoyed her...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church
