Wonderfull place for fresh seafood. Tried their signature lobster rolls - super yummy! Not too much mayo, not too much salt - just perfect! You can also pick a live lobster and they'll steam it for you right there!

The lobster roll and clam chowder was delicious. We even got to hold a lobster that was as big as us.

I arrived just after they opened at 10:00. I ordered a large lobster roll. The portion was very generous with just a light covering of mayo. It was just OK, not as good or sweet as other lobster rolls that I had at Legal Seafood and at Atlantic Fish Company in Boston.

Thank RubyCavalier
Management response:

It's disappointing to hear that you didn't enjoy the roll. We serve it up Maine-style, and it's supposed to show off the freshness of the lobster. If that's not your jam, that's totally fine -- we have a lot of other types of seafood, and we're always here to help! Best, The Hooks More

The Lobster Roll was amazing but expensive. There was a few tables to sit and the seating area was small too. Don't come in to expect a quick lunch, we waited for the table and the food for an hour !!

Thank Doris H
Management response:

Doris, it's great to hear that you enjoyed the lobster roll! Sorry about the wait -- we'll make sure that your food gets out to you faster in the future. Best, The Hooks More

Likely an equal number of takeout and eat in with a plethora of fresh fish and crustacean choices. It isn't a fast food restaurant but worth the wait. Tiny tables but fun inside and out.

So most of you will probably be like me and read the reviews and decide to go, but see the place and decide not to go. Be prepared, this is a trailer. I passed it by 3 days in a row not wanting to eat in a trailer. Finally my wife and I as we were waling back to our... More

Management response:

Greg, we're glad that you listened to the sound of lobsters calling and you walked in here! It's great to hear that you and your wife ended up loving the roll. Just a bit of company history -- we used to have a bigger restaurant that we started in 1925, and it has burned down since. While our current spot... More

This was my 3rd lobster roll in Boston. I had one at Yankee Lobster and Doyle's. This was tied as my favorite next to Doyle's. I can't pick a winner. Maybe Hook and Co. because it was cheaper than Doyle's, but both were stuffed with lobster, with smaller rolls, and not much in the way of celery and mayo. Perfect... More

You know what they say -- the third time's the charm! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed everything you tried. Next time you stop by, ask to hold one of the big lobsters! We'd love to show you them. Best, The Hooks More

Lobster roll. Crab soup. Clam chowder. Lobster mac and cheese. All were amazing!!! Don't miss this unpretentious spot. It's a great spot focused on great food.

My son and I grabbed lunch here today. What a place! Fresh seafood to buy, eat in or carry out. Seating is limited, prices are not. A great place to come to sample fresh seafood (lobster, shrimp, crab) surrounded by Boston culture.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
