We made dinner reservations based on recommendations from local friends and we wanted one nice dinner so it was just the two of us. We arrived a bit early and were seated at the bar and had some delicious dessert wine. When we made it to the table the waitress was amazing and so nice, the rolls were also amazing.... More

Mooo was a very special dining experience...the marrow bones were the best I've ever had...with a delicious dipping gravy...flavors I've never tasted before...garlic toast and a butter and breadcrumbs sauce... To die for! Next was a Cornish Game Hen served in a skillet, once again with a sauce that exploded with flavors! This is the best food I've tasted in... More

This is a top tier steakhouse. I'm not even really all that into the whole fine dining experience, but this is by far my favorite place in Boston for steak. I've had mixed experiences with the waitstaff, of course they all put on the usual five star restaurant rehearsed "I'm your very happy and helpful waiter" routine. One time I... More

My girlfriend and I went to Mooo before seeing a show in the theater district and it was more than what was expected! Started great with the 4 freshly baked rolls that had sea salt on them and had a nice crunch on the outside but we're soft and fluffy on the inside. Tasted almost like a ballgame pretzel that... I've had numerous business dinners in this restaurant everyone has been terrific. The service is wonderful good for small groups or large groups. The wine cellar downstairs is great for 20-ish people. Service is wonderful and they are very accommodating.

Located next to the elegant XV Hotel, Mooo is a modern steakhouse that delivers on all counts. The decor is very attractive and lends itself to a pleasant dinner, weather for business or pleasure. The dining room was crowded but very receptive to conversation. Excellent service from the entire team. Polite, informed and friendly but not intrusive. The menu is... More

We stopped here on a whim for dinner one night, although we felt we were a little under dressed, we weren't made to feel so. The food was outstanding, and the service stellar. We would visit here again with no regrets.

Expensive, but worth the price because the food is good.It is known for being a steakhouse but my husband and I did not have steak. We had the classic Caesar salad and the Wiener Schnitzel which were very good.We even shared a dessert which was enough for two.On Sunday they have a brunch but we just got something off the menu.It was... We tried the kobe beef dumplings as an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. I had the bone-in filet mignon and it's the best steak I've had so far, you have to order the bone-in kind though, it's so much more flavorful than regular filet mignon. Service was excellent. One of the best restaurants in Boston for sure.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
