I was looking for meat from grass-fed cows. I enjoyed the hamburger very much. I had it with greens rather than chips. I sat at the bar. The young man at the bar was very kind.

Cafeteria is located on scenic Newbury St in Boston’s popular Back Bay. The dining room is in the basement. There is a bar both downstairs and upstairs with the lower seeming to be the more casual of the two. The music is loud so carrying conversations is not easy. We stopped in for an appetizer and drinks. The spinach artichoke... More

A wide menu selection. Servers and staff were friendly. I enjoyed outdoor dining on a mild fall night when in Boston for business. The Tuna Burger is not to be missed!

Been here a few times (dinner or brunch) over the past couple of years, always with friends. Too loud/crowded for date night, imo. Consistently good with good prices but never amazingly delicious. Flat bread pizza with fig jam, goat cheese and arugula was good but was missing "something"... more fig jam or goat cheese, perhaps? Beet salad was good. Mac... More

Came with friends for brunch. The frittata was actually just scrambled eggs with half melted definitely not fresh mozzarella on top and a few cherry tomatoes sprinkled in. The drinks, and reasonable prices, were the only saving grace. Will not be coming back.

Tried this restaurant several times, hoping it would get better. It doesn't, and so is a disappointment. But the reason I do try, is it's so convenient to where I need to go, that I kept thinking it was an 'off' day. Sorry.

My daughter and I randomly sat down on the patio at CB on a beautiful day. We drank wine and had salads and I was surprised how good their Quinoa salad was! My daoghter had the greek salad with Salmon. Both were excellant!

Had great service at the pleasant spot in the heart of Back Bay/Newbury Street. Enjoyed the patio seating and the good quality heaters. Was dubious about the cheeseburger spring rolls. The server said they were fantastic, and they were! Yum! Had a delicious beet salad topped with a generous serving of lobster meat for a reasonable price. Something for everyone... More

I had the turkey burger with greens and it was superb. Great spot on the patio in the sun. Busy and hip place.

We had done half of the Freedom Trail and wanted organic food for lunch so walked the 30 minutes from Boston Commons. (Worth noting: The walkway down the center of Commonwealth Ave. is wonderful and tree lined with historic statues on each block.) We arrived, very hungry, and were seated outside near the sidewalk. Inside seating was available but all... More

Cafeteria is a cool, casual, contemporary atmosphere where the comfort food of "yesterday" gets schooled by the flavors of "today" to create a dining experience that is "tray chic."

Our new cafeteria-themed menu is a modern interpretation of classic soul-satisfying American dishes prepared with organic grass-fed beef and lamb, free-range chicken, the freshest seafood and organic, local produce. These properly raised ingredients
behave perfectly with a new world of herbs, spices and culinary techniques to create deeply satisfying comfort food for the new millennium.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
