My wife and I shared the pork nachos....awesome! This is a classic neighborhood bar. It is worth the stop if you have the time.

It's your typical bar and bar food. Decent atmosphere in there and a good place to grab a quick lunch.

Great wee pub in Boston! We went a couple of nights for beers before going out for dinner. Reasonably priced and great service!

We all really liked the food that we had and the service was great as well. It was simple american food. Convenient location right across from Boston Commons and Red Line T station.

We have been here twice and both times have been very impressed with their lobster rolls. This year, we ate here before heading to Maine for a week. Never did have a better lobster roll! They have very tasty sangria as well!

That's very literally too! How often can you say something like that? Food was ok, standard. Service was ok. The place was packed, so go figure. The waitress was amicable, so that did soften the fact that she didn't check on us as often as we wanted her to. But definitely a place I will visit again in a future!

We had read some great reviews, but were not overwhelmed by this place. The food was OK (fish&chips and a turkey sandwich) and the service was not very attentive considering that we were not there at a busy time. It all might be better around lunchtime.

Across the street from the freedom trail, this is a great spot to have lunch and a drink. Fun atmosphere with friendly wait staff. You can just feel the history, a true Boston experience.

Just visited with friends after spending the whole day walking. Friends are from out of town and my girlfriend and I recommended a "staple" of Boston. We sat in the back dining room for 10 mins with no server stopping by. When I talked to the server, they claimed they were swamped. I worked in the restaurant business for 6... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
