Although we were told it would be a 30 min wait, we were seated in just 15 mins. Service was top notch, good energy, friendly staff. Food was served quickly and hot. Tasty, great portion size...would definitely go back. Only downside is restrooms are along the hallway where you wait to be seated. Kinda have to wade through the crowd... More

My daughter, a student at UNCA took me here while I was visiting. One of her favorites and now one of mine. Service was perfect. The food was awesome. Started with the spring rolls then had Green Curry bowl with shrimp over rice noodles. Too much to eat in one sitting. This was a special so don't look for it... More

We stumbled upon this little gem on a whim. The food was fantastic and fresh. The chef clearly knew how to coax flavors. Everything was delightful! Service was super fast, wait staff friendly and the place was clean. It was so good, we are going back once more before we leave! Loved ordering several appetizers to have Dim Sum of... More

Its a really great restaurant - compact and bijou and the food is great - you have to go. It would be such a shame to miss this when you visit Asheville. Wait times are short

Doc Chey is Asian Fusion at its best. The menu is limited but it's the best of various Asian dishes such as Pad Thai, Chinese Lomein and Korean Bibimbap. Found this place through the recommendation of a couple of locals. We ordered take out because it was packed. It's a small place with tables close together. We had Steamed Pork... More

I used to eat at the doc chey in Athens GA between classes on a weekly basis. When the restaurant closed, nowhere else could supply my lo mein fix. It's always a perk to be reunited with this place when I come to Asheville. The food is always fresh and delicious and full of flavor. I recommend the lo mein... More

Got this to take back to the hotel. It was great. Not sure i would wait to get into the restaurant though - it was very crowded with people waiting outside until their table was ready.

I've given this place two tries. The flavors were lacking. My entrees were just never satisfying. I feel like people only go here, because it's decent quality and cheap. So many other better restaurants around.

Went to Doc Chey's for dinner one weekend evening. We went early, which was good because the restaurant is small. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was obviously made to order and very fresh. My only complaint was that I could not decide what to order!
