Met a friend for supper on a wet night. The staff are friendly, and our waitress was great. Had slider hamburgers that were perfect. It is a casual and fun place to eat.

An epic evening celebrating our dear friend's 40th birthday at Wayside. On a December evening, it was packed. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes in the bar for a table, but as soon as we were seated we were treated with friendly and attentive service. We were brought a free appetizer (for our wait), our drinks were promptly delivered,... More

Had a very enjoyable meal at the Wayside Bar and Grill. The restaurant is in the old railway station that serviced Biltmore Estate. The food is a little different that the usual run of the mill fare. I had Fish and Fries that was very good with a home made tarter sauce. My wife had the Wayside Burger. The burger... More

Wife had grilled cheese with cream cheese, bacon, lettuce and avocado. Side was home made chips. She loved it. I had bbq brisket with sweet potato tots. It was very, very good. Service was great also.

I don't care for the smell of Bleach in a restaurant, so I was worried when I first got there. But, boy did they prove me wrong. The drinks and all meals were excellent. I had the stuffed cabbage and I can still taste it four days out. IT WAS AWESOME. My husband had the Patty Melt, Father in law... More

Met a prospective crew member for a late evening snack. I had the Cuban Cowboy sandwich. It was a great tasting monster of a sandwich. But, what made my week, were the french fries. Just super. Almost as good as fries cooked in saturated fat. Pete, our terrifically attentive server, explained how the fries were prepared, but I can't remember... More

The food and service was great. Located in an old train station, the restaurant is filled with history and pictures. The pasta dishes are amazing!

I have eaten here on a number of occasions since the late 1990's. I have been here for both lunch & supper. This is not fine dining; however, the food is consistently good & economically priced. On our most recent visit to Asheville, we ate supper here on a Saturday evening because Asheville was way too jam packed with people,... More

It's our go to spot when we visit Asheville. Quaint English pub with local beers, great food and the best coconut pie.
