Great new take on southern comfort food. My wife tried the fried chicken and loved it. I got the pan seared trout and it was great. One of the best aces to go in Asheville.

My wife and I stopped in before leaving town and we are so glad we did. The food was AWESOME!! They're specialty sweet potato pancake with fried chicken was incredible. The mac n cheese was extremely good too. Highly recommend coming here and waiting out the lines too.
Had the chicken breast sandwich with a side of Brussel Sprouts. Best fried chicken I've ever had. My husband, who won't eat Brussel sprouts, ate half of them they were so good. The portion was so large, I couldn't have eaten them all myself. Husband had the small plate of fried goat cheese and loved it. The biscuits served with... More
The restaurant was small, but nicely decorated, and the service was very friendly and attentive. The homemade biscuits and Tupelo Honey started the meal off right. We moved onto fried green tomatoes with an excellent sauce, and then for our entrées we had the shrimp and goat cheese grits with roasted red pepper sauce. It was very flavorful with more... More
Great spot in central downtown. The menu is varied with a lot of comfort food staples and some twists. You get delicious, fresh biscuits with honey and their own blueberry preserves while you wait for your food. It can be a bit loud and there's often a wait but it's worth it. Try their special lemonade, it's delicious. The location... More
We have only praise for Tupelo Honey Cafe. This was our first visit and the food is outstanding and you won't walk away hungry. The biscuits are fantastic and their blue berry jelly is to write home about. You need to try this restaurant if you haven't.
Numerous friends told me before my trip to Asheville that I should visit this restaurant. SO I took their advice and took the recommended entree selection as well. Which was, the sweet potato pancakes under apple bacon and fried chicken, topped with candied pecans & maple syrup. OMG!!!! Heaven on earth! Good Lordy that was the bomb. The server was... More
This was our third visit to the Hendersonville Rd. location in Asheville. It did not disappoint! All four of our meals were excellent! I ordered Eggs Betty and the eggs were poached perfectly. French Toast, Pork Belly Hash and Sockeye Salmon Loaded Grit Cake. All were excellent and we highly recommend this location!
Had a wonderful dinner here after a busy day. This was recommended by locals and they were so right. Fried chicken was really good. The corn souffle was fluffy and light but oh so flavorful. Baked Mac and cheese, yummy.
Noticed the menu changed since our last visit, that's cool. Keeps it interesting. The biscuits and blueberry jam are the best. Except by the time I'm done eating them all (wife can't eat eggs) I'm stuffed! Get here early if you want a seat, before 1730 is good to be sure.
