My table came to “Chestnut” for brunch and decided to start the meal with “strawberry French toast.” I HIGHLY recommend that as a starter! After that we ordered our main course, I ordered the “vegan hash.” I was not impressed, the potatoes were undercooked and...More

Went to Chestnut a year ago when we traveled to Asheville, and wanted to eat here again. As good or better this time. All the food was delicious -- beet salad, lobster bisque, ravioli, petite tenderloin. And then we were still hungry, so we had...More

I feel like the dinners here are amazing, but we came for brunch and were a little disappointed. We had high hopes when we ordered the French toast, it was AMAZING and worth five stars. However, the entrees were just okay. I would have thought...More

You must have reservations. Look at menu before you arrive. Lobster bisque is a delight, fried oysters, petite filet, fried green tomatoes, any dessert.

Excellent menus selection and the chicken waffle with gravy and syrup was delightful with an OJ and vodka. The wife enjoy eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. Great service and atmosphere on a pleasant Sunday morning. Good food and highly recommend for any meal.

Our server Gwendolyn was terrific. She knew the specials and was able to describe them and you could tell she has tasted them. My husband ordered the Green Eggs and Lamb and it was fabulous. The lamb sausage was seasoned with herbs and well balanced,...More

Nice location, friendly staff and delicious food made this a great place for Sunday brunch! We started with fresh made donuts to share and really enjoyed the Crab Cake Benedict and the Fried Green Tomato Benedict! The Hollandaise sauce on both was superb!!!

We had lunch here last week while we visited Asheville. The food was quite good. I had the catfish Rueben and it was really good. Sitting outside allows you to people watch. Very nice lunch.

Everything here was top notch other than it being fairly noisy. I would recommend this to just about anyone unless you were looking for a super intimate place "candle lit", which I was not. Definitely something on the menu for everyone.

Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.
