Chestnut is an American restaurant. We are in a 1920s era building in downtown Asheville, right across for the Aloft hotel and the double decker coffee bus. Parking is plentiful (and cheap) at the public deck under the Aloft Hotel.

Came with the family to check out the holiday scene in Asheville and added Chestnut to our list of things to do and am so happy we did! Believe all the positive reviews and just go there!

Went to Chestnut a year ago when we traveled to Asheville, and wanted to eat here again. As good or better this time. All the food was delicious -- beet salad, lobster bisque, ravioli, petite tenderloin. And then we were still hungry, so we had...More

We had a reservation, and were seated promptly, at a table by the window. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and had several great suggestions. Everyone in our party of six received their meals at the same time, all served hot (that is, it...More

Excellent service and perfectly prepared food. Ambience is great for a romantic dinner. I had the petit filet and lemon curd for dessert. Really enjoyed eating here and would recommend it.

Chestnut is consistently good—meaning I have yet to experience even an “average” meal here. This was my first brunch ever at Chestnut, and I shall be back for more. There were numerous choices on the menu—soups, salads, waffles, French toast, eggs prepared in numerous ways,...More

Dinner at this restaurant is excellent. It's located downtown and parking for it is across the street (Biltmore Ave) under the Aloft Apartments building. Very, very short walk slightly uphill towards the restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet. The menu offers a good, small selection of...More
