We received a gift certificate for this restaurant and it was our first visit. Did not know what to expect. We had 2 appetizers, and 2 small plates. & a bottle of wine. More than enough. We had the cornbread and poached pear for appetizers, both exceeded expectations- The presentation and combination of ingredients melded together nicely. Our 2 small... More

Loved the Winter salad and grilled artichokes. Had the ribs with three different sauces; ketchup cranberry, apple mustard and bacon clementine, yum! their cocktails are innovative. Our favorite was the Bourbon Renewal.

Interesting, fun building in a great location. Attentive wait staff. We had a party of 10 with 3 young children. Not really a family friendly location. When I scanned the menu I expected to be wowed by the food. I was not. Meat and cheese plate was good. The burger for 20.00 was ordinary at best. In all, I was... More

I hate to give a bad review but this place has a lot of potential...great atmosphere, good service, but the food just wasn't up to par. Our appetizers were pretty good but the main course, the $45 entree of lobster tail and Mac and cheese was a joke. The macaroni was way over cooked and it was more like some... More

Passing thru Asheville on my way back to Athens, Georgia on a Sunday and decided to stop in for brunch....I wasn't particularly interested in navigating downtown although I love that part too, but the river district was calling my name... This was my first culinary adventure at The Junction and I was not disappointed. Clean, hip, artsy industrial, just what... More

My friends and I ate here on the last night per a recommendation from a local. It's kind of small, but has some outdoor seating. We were told the fried chicken was great and it did not disappoint. Everyone of us got the chicken and it was very good. We had a pop tart for dessert and it was good... More

We stopped by the Junction for a late dinner during a recent visit to Asheville, and were extremely impressed. The restaurant has a very creative menu, and the food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We opted for a few "snacks" and small plates including the cornbread (superb; not like any we'd ever eaten), apple cheddar salad, potato gnocchi,... More

We loved the location, styling, and wait staff, but the food left us a little 'so-so'. I would like to come back and try some of the other menu items, as clearly there are regulars here. But we found the cornbread to be slightly burned, the ribs to be flavorless, and the NC Seabass with 17 types of legumes and... More

The Junction has a low key, rustic atmosphere. We had a party of 14 and we were serviced without a hitch! We started with many of the small plates and enjoyed every single one of them. The big hit was the Pork Rinds, have never seen such a huge pork rind! Everyone's entrees were fabulous, including a salad that had... More

Ate there last night and had great service and a wonderful meal. 4 different entrees and each was good. The waitstaff does an excellent job describing what is available and the kitchen gets an A for presentation and taste. First but not the last trip I will make here for dinner.

Description
The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique.
