We had brunch here on New Year's Day and the food was great. No alcohol until noon but the seafood plate that I had and the chicken pot pie were great. The cornbread was amazing and that's from someone who doesn't like cornbread! The chef delivered the food personally and made us feel welcome and the rest of the staff... More

It's been two years since I first reviewed The Junction, and I'm returning to say that it is still first choice for my partner and me when we are in Asheville. The city is full of excellent restaurants, many of which we return to and enjoy, but Junction remains our favorite. We've eaten there perhaps a dozen times since my... More

The cocktails here are fantastic. The seafood plate I had contained shrimp, clams and mussels. The sauce was heavy, "interesting" and definitely covered the flavors of the seafood. It wouldn't matter WHAT you had with this sauce, it would cover the flavor of the meat. 2 mussels were not open, which meant they were dead, not fresh when they were... More

In the river arts district near the Wedge brewing and New Belgium, this is a little off the beaten path, but it was worth the trip. We started with fried oysters, cornbread with honey and melted pimento cheese (yum!) and fois gras corn dogs with 3 dipping sauces-- all recommended by our very friendly waitress. Zero disappointments. We followed with... More

The Junction is unique to Asheville especially on weekends as they have free parking, you can usually get a reservation, the service is great and the food in interesting and tasty with outstanding cocktails. The Junction is located in the River Arts District and when you enter there is a nice bar with a few tables. Sit at the bar... More

We just ate an incredible brunch at The Junction....Wow. Highly recommend and will return on our next trip to Asheville. The beef slider Benedict is was the best we've ever had and the chicken biscuit with pot pie gravy was the perfect combination!! This is a must visit for Brunch!

Sorry it too awhile to get this review in. We ate here and I reviewed it, but were so impressed that we immediately booked a group to come with us to experience this fabulous find, especially since it is located in our trendy River Arts District. I contacted Charles, because we had a reservation for 10 and it was going... More

One of the best meals I've had in Asheville. Attentive and friendly staff. Will be back for sure. Try the cornbread!

reviewed The Junction 4 years ago: used to love it but brunch last Sunday was disappointing. ordered New Orleans Étouffée: the crawfish tails didn't taste fresh, the brown roux sauce was muddy and the prawns were mushy on the ends. perhaps the prawns had been marinated too long? the crawfish tails tasted like the frozen ones you get from Trader... Description
The Junction is the first full service restaurant in Asheville's River Arts District. We feature Southern-inspired farm to table fare and seasonal craft cocktails with fresh ingredients. We brine our fried chicken, smoke our pears, handcraft our soups and visit tailgate markets weekly. We make our own bacon and ketchup, squeeze cases of citrus each week for cocktails and work with other local, small businesses whenever possible. We invite you to join us after work for a casual beer and a burger at the bar, or to bring your beloved or whole family for a unique dining experience. Our menu features a combination of soups, salads and sharing plates as well as hearty entree options so that every dining experience is unique. Please visit our website to preview menus, as they change weekly.
