I went to Chai Pani for the great reviews which I had read and my new found love of Indian and Himalayan foods. I ordered their dinner special and was so disappointed. For those who have not been, the dinner has the main dish of the night (choice of vegetarian or meat), dahl, a few different breads, and dessert. Well,... More

You have to get the Bombay Chili Fries are so savory and tasty!!! I could eat those for a meal by itself. Had the thali which was a flavorful spicy chicken curry with chilies. The spice was just right. The chai had just the right condiments, some of the best I've had. My only complaint was the chai had free... More

Great spot for lunch - just order the special Thalis and enjoy! We had both the buttered chicken and a spicy chicken and both were great - the meal is quite filling, though (cream sauce). Had good service.

Stopped for lunch on our visit to Asheville. Am writing this short review after noticing some good reviews on Tripadvisor and I don't understand them. My wife and I have eaten Indian food all over the world , from Little India in Singapore to Delhi to 74th Street in Queens New York, the center of Indian town New York. This... More

I must say that I am not a huge fan of most Indian dishes, but this place totally changed my mind about that!! They have a small menu of offerings, and I am willing to bet all is amazing! I had their chili cheese fries and fish wrap... WOW!! They are only open certain hours for lunch and dinner, so... More

Cool little spot to get unique Indian food in Asheville. I loved the chicken daily special and whatever soup I got. The server was friendly even though the restaurant looked packed. I'd definitely come back here!

So much flavor!! Amazing Indian street food, I ate there two separate times, and both were delicious experiences. There's a vegetarian thali every single day (hooray) and a plethora of veg options. I tried the vada pav, tasty potato burgers with green chutney and what I *think* are chili-coated fenugreek seeds that add an insanely tasty burst of acid and... More

You have to know first--I do not like Indian food. I went because my family does. And I loved this! It's not like any Indian food I've eaten. I had the mango chaat, and it was delicious. Also, I have celiac, and it did not make me sick.

Very affordable delicious food, fast & friendly service, great location. They offer half sizes on a bunch of dishes so that you can try a veriety. Easy to find parking & a great location to take a stroll after eating.
