My dinner at Tachibana was great, when it finally came. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one-time thing but I had difficulty enjoying my food because it was an hour late. Other than that inconvenience my dinner was great, I had Ramen noodles and finished my dinner with mochi ice cream.

Me and my friends went to Tachibana for lunch. Got a table in the back that was nice and quiet. Friendly staff. The lunch was very good and tasty.

We've been regulars at Tachibana for years. Their sushi is fresh and delicious. We love sitting at the bar. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Some of our favorites include the tempura, udon noodle soup, gyoza and all their sushi whether it's maki or nigiri or sashimi. They get busy quickly so make a reservation or go right at 5pm... More

The best bento box and shirashi bowl in the area. A true established clientele with several Japanese employees and native Japanese customers which validates my hunch that it was true to form

My dad picked this restaurant for his birthday lunch since he had eaten there before with my mother. We got there early (restaurants open later on the East Coast) but were let in promptly at 11:30 am. The restaurant was big but there were partitioned areas to minimized the noise. We didn't have any issues as the restaurant filled up.... More

Very good quality Japanese restaurant. Sushi and Sashimi is fresh and well presented. I like their menu sets as they offer better value than the a la carte.

They serve fresh sashimi and sushi dishes that will please discriminating Japanese food lovers. Situated on the second floor of the building, this eatery is definitely a good place to check out. My only complaint is that they don't accept reservation for less than 6 people and during meal times they are almost always packed. Therefore, one can expect to... More

While I have to be honest. I love sushi so I usually go to Sushi On in Fair Oaks because it is an all-you-can-eat buffet with good sushi for a great price. But once in a while I like to splurge and get some great sushi. That is when I go to Tachibana. Probably the best sushi in Northern Virginia... More

Tachibana serves the freshest, finest seafood around – sushi, sashimi or grilled. The menu is extensive. If you’d like Japanese food or want to learn more about it, you can’t go wrong with the bento “dinner box.” Choose from salmon or yellowtail tuna, and then choose beef or chicken roll. All come with a shrimp(s) and vegetable Tempura, some dumplings,... More

I live in the Northwest part of DC this is one of the best restaurants I've been to since living here. I will definitely be coming back, this was a great experience with great food, amazing service, it was a very nice, calm atmosphere.
