Did not find the ice cream creative or creamy. Sometimes people just flock to places because of prior reputation before there are better choices.

Catty-cornered from Dolores Park is a delicious ice cream parlor. Look for the velvet ropes if the line hasn't formed yet. Unique and seasonal flavors in a rich and creamy dessert. Wish I lived here so I could try them all. Don't want to stand in line? Show up at 11am when they open. That's what we did!

Someway difficult to park, but keep driving around until you find a spot (this is San Francisco after all). Small, but the ice cream is good, the prices fair and the staff and other customers all are friendly. Sit, eat, socialize, and enjoy. It doesn't get much better than this.

We ate an early dinner and walked to bi-rite. Because it was relatively early, but a nice day, the line went back towards the street corner. The line went by pretty quickly, but was informed by friends that on warmer days, the line goes even further back. Had the coffee toffee and the cookies and cream ice cream, price decent... More

We found this place along our tour via the guide. He said this was some of the best ice cream around, along with the backstory and History of how it came to be. Anyway, we had stopped while waiting for a bus to get free samples and check it out. It took multiple stops and middle of the afternoon before... More

Friends who live in the city suggested we go for ice cream after dinner. We were three adults and three kids. It was cold that night, so I was hesitant when we walked up and. Saw the long line. It was so worth the wait. Delicious and creamy. Kind of ruined other chain ice cream places for me for the... More

We stumbled across Bi-Rite by accident whilst heading towards Dolores Park on foot. We saw that it was popular, the sun was out so decided to treat ourselves to an ice-cream! There was a bit of a wait but purely because the staff were taking their with each customer in allowing them to try out the ice-creams. The staff were... More

We visited Bi-Rite as it was the #1 rated dessert location in San Francisco. When we arrived, the line was not only out the door.....it was around the corner as well. More importantly, I could not find anywhere to park so our party got out of the car and I circled for 30 minutes looking for parking. Instead of staying... More

Great local place for ice cream with neat flavors! Right next to Dolores Park which is an excellent place to enjoy the ice cream.

This ice cream is not on par with popular neighborhood ice cream shops in other cities, and is not the best dessert in SF. Nor is Bi-Rite worth the wait in line.
