Just one night in SF, so Love CQ in SF (and Chicago), dealing with a broken toe, in no mood to walk any longer for the day, so Fish and Farm it was for dinner especially since the last restaurant (I'm going back 5 years) was really pretty decent and had a nice "pub" feel to it. I'm OK with... More

Stopped in here for a relaxed bite whilst staying at the neighbouring CQ hotel. The food was fine, if over-priced, and the fries excellent. The big issue for us was the pushy service...constantly being approached by the hovering server, who could barely disguise his disappointment when we said no to dessert/more drinks and then couldn't get us out fast enough...despite... A better place to drink than to have a formal dinner. The food was good but unexceptional and on the heavy side. Our waiter really struggled and he later confided that he is a bartender who was pressed into service on the dining room floor. Young SF financial district crowd.

Having looked forward to dining at Fish & Farm for some time, perhaps my expectations were set a bit too high. That said, I found the food, the decor, and the service to be underwhelming. I had a crab bisque (one of the "specials") to start, in which I tasted absolutely no crab. Frankly, it tasted like canned soup. The... More

Had the special seafood risotto that included an astounding 2 shrimp and over cooked tuna. $30 a piece. Crappy atmosphere. Mediocre service and overpriced. Skip it.

The restaurant has moved to 424 Clay Street. The food, service and ambiance was very good. The fish and chips I had were plentiful and prepared just right -- not greasy or over battered. The fries were some of the best ever.

I guess it's moved..now it's on Clay Street, which was across from Le Meridien, our hotel. The concierge suggested this after we said we were tired from traveling. She said she's heard they don't have it all together yet since it's new and a the timing isn't great..and boy was she right. We had a nice drink at the bar... More

We were volunteering for the Super Bowl Host Committee and decided to have dinner in "The City". F & F was close by and their website looked inviting. We arrived at 715 by which time they were out of 1 of the soups of the day and Stella Beer. Service was not good, and it took quite some time to... More

Walked in from the hotel across the street since we prefer to support local husinesses rather than hotels. This was a Sunday morning about 10...very quiet. Great architecture...like an old adobe, tin ceiling. Bar tender was our server, food was quite good, he was very good. If i lived near here it would be a regular spot.
