If you are looking for a decent burrito then this is a great option. Plenty of meat choices and numerous toppings. Worth sharing as they are so large.

This place has set the bar for Mexican food for at least the past 20 years. My first visit to Zapata was in 1997, right after moving to San Francisco from Miami. After my burrito, I realised that I’d never had proper Mexican food before....More

After quite few visits to various restaurants in SF (most of which were pretty great) this place rose to the top of the heap. Just a simple hole in the wall style place, but so tasty and filling. Next time I'm in town this will...More

The best place for Tacos de Carnitas at Castro. Great place for Mexican every day food with a real Mexican taste. It's so good that they have line most of the time !

Nothing fancy, just a burrito the way you like it. An excellent cheap eat option in the Castro and one that was busy when I was there, which to me is a good sign. Came away happily contented.

The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San
Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart,
the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As
one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in
the United States and currently its largest, it
