Panchita's has ruined pupusas for me because I can't find them as good as Panchita's makes them anywhere else! This is the first restaurant I come to when I visit San Francisco. Super good, super affordable.

The papusas here are terrific, and at $3 each, you eat well for $10. We like this place so much we made a point to come back for lunch, two years after discovering it on a prior trip to SF. We were not disappointed -- still as fresh and delicious as ever.

So this was introduced to me by my GF cousin who has lived in the bay for a few years. I was like yeah I worked with many central Americans and ive been to many popusarias in the area. Well I walk in its very homely looking (a good sign) when I see the options for what can be put... More

The food was SO GOOD. We all had papusas, based on recommendation from my cousin and they were all delicious. So was the cabbage. The coolest part about this is being from out of town, going to the Mission and trying a place that I might not have since it is more of a hole in the wall. SO good,... More

We bought chicken pupusas to go and they were fresh made and delicious! You can definitely eat more than one and the alfajores are also so good!

If you are looking for Salvadoran atmosphere, this is not your place. The pupusas are very expensive and they taste ok.

Many great options for pupusas, fresh, delicious, and perfect for vegetarians on a budget or interest in an authentic Latin meal.

Stumbled on Panchitas Christmas afternoon en route from airport. We are glad few places were open because we certainly would have missed this little hole-in-the-wall. Pupusas are what they do here and they do them well, with a nice selection of filling options. Plenty of vegetarian choices. Each is $3 or go for a plate with two plus rice and... More

If you have never had a pupusa (you are missing out!) you might not know the difference, and therefore will have a pleasent experience with these... however... I've tasted many, many Pupusas, and these are very avaerage at best, a little dry, and the curtido was not as acidic as I would have like it. I was really missing that... More
