Busy at lunch--but fast! Very good (authentic) Japanese. The sashimi and donburi was outstanding. Miso and japanese salad a part of the meal. A whole-in-wall type of ambience but worth the visit-FUH SURE.

Was attending a conference nearby and needed a spot for a quick lunch during a break. There were several spots serving sushi in the area, we decided to stop in here as sushi/sashimi and rolls were offered. You order at the counter and food is brought to you. Counter staff were unfriendly and staff who brought food to the table... More

Comin here for late lunch. Order the large dish due to starving, but u can choose medium/large. dont know the portion was way too big for 1 person haha.. ended up finished half, and take it home. BBQ chicken with rice n noodle (u can choose rice/noodle/both) plus vegetable. Taste good, meat marinated well n sauce r delicious.

Happy hour california roll was 8 pieces for $3.00. Quick but not fine dining or attractive atmosphere. Does the job though.

Although my 5, 7 and 9 years old were picky eater, they really enjoyed this place. This place offers lots of variety for lunch or dinner. We had sushi, tempura, udon and chicken teriyaki for lunch one day. Altogether was $40, tip included. That to us was cheap for a family of 5, especially when we compared to other place.... More

Hmmm, I think I need to come back and try their sushi. This first time, I had the unagi rice bowl. It was ok, but a bit pricey ($10+), and I don't think I'd get it again. UPDATE: Ok, I went back and tried their spider roll--the soft shell crab was overfried--it tasted burnt! That'll be the last time I... More

Excellent sushi and great prices. Only drawback: they're only open for lunch, and only on weekdays.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
