Reliably fresh bagels baked on the premises next door to the shop. Cragels - the cross between a bagel and a croissant- are their specialty.

We got bagels from there and they weren't the greatest bagels on earth but neither the worst ones. The lady behind the counter was friendly. It's nice that they open relatively early.
Overall, I'm glad you enjoyed the bagels here, Kristin. Thanks for giving us a try -- hope to see you again next time you're in the area. All the best, Jenny Puente, Owner
There is nothing like a true NY water bagel & bialy, It's the water baby! it's the generational ovens and technique . So I have been on the hunt for at least something that is close. I can't keep bring back bags of bagels to...More
Just glad we could deliver on that true New York bagel you've been craving! Hope to be your go-to spot for bagels in SF for many years to come. All the best, Jenny Puente, Owner
While these aren't to the level of NYC, they are top of the line for SF. A little heavy but decent flavor.More
As we aim to bring Brooklyn-style bagels to SF, it's disappointing we didn't exactly meet NY's level for you. Still, we are glad you enjoyed the bagels overall. Hope we'll have a chance to welcome you back next time you're in the area. Sincerely, Jenny...More
A small place with great bagels and accompanying cheese and other items. Always fresh and carried in many grocery stores. Worth a trip when you need a bigger quantity.
It's awesome you always enjoy the bagels here! Thanks for making the trip to see us. All the best, Jenny Puente, Owner
This little place has been around for years, I used to come and pick up pastry for my coworkers when I worked at the SF VA in the 90's and just went in today simply for a bagel, and the place has not changed much....More
In a city with great examples of almost any cuisine one could name, why is it so difficult to get a _real_ bagel anywhere except House of Bagels? An East cost transplant gains many things by moving to The City, but an abundant supply of...More
It's awesome to be your go-to for when you get a craving for a great east-coast bagel, CJ! What's more, it sounds like our Ruebens are even more of a hit, so much so that you'll drive across the city for one -- thanks! I...More
We noticed the place while waiting for a bus and decided to check it out. The garlic bagel with cream cheese was delicious! We recommend!
I'm so glad you noticed us and decided to give us a try! Our garlic bagel is a house favorite -- I'm happy you enjoyed it too. Until your next visit, Jenny Puente, Owner
Closest to NY bagels we have found. Had great bagel breakfast and bagel with chive cream cheese. Enjoyed it one morning had to go back again the next day even though we had to cross town to get to it.
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed our NY-style bagels, Pat! Crossing town for a second time? What a compliment -- thank you! I hope you will return to enjoy another one when you're back in the city. Until next time, Jenny Puente, Owner
This place makes bagels the "Old Fashioned way" by boiling them in water. They have a terrific selection of all types of bagels as well as many Jewish Pastries. If you are watching your cholesterol, don't bother. Otherwise, you will be in heaven.More
Thanks so much for the five-star review! I'm so happy to hear you enjoy our authentic bagels. Like you said, we make them the original East Coast way -- boiling and then baking them on stone. I hope you'll come back to bagel heaven soon!...More
