We enjoyed our hamburgers here. They were not the latest style of too huge to eat. They were cooked nice & medium and the buns toasted with butter. The crispy Brussel sprout appetizer was excellent. Some other places burn the sprouts, but these were cooked...More

I think this restaurant is one of my favorite because of the quallity of the food and the cool menu. Good for breakfest, lunch and dinner and also as an lounge in “a secret” room that looks live a english/indian pub! Tuna Nicose is delicious!

We came at 3 pm, so no lunch menu was offered. The hamburgers were expensive at $12. This is a very pricey restaurant; full dinner would cost at $50/person, plus parking. Most of the customers were having cocktails and pub food.

Recently returned to The Cavalier, having not been there for quite a while. Relatively calm and quiet early on a Sunday evening, a very different vibe from midweek. Three of us enjoyed excellent service, unusual and delicious appetizers (quail eggs on a celery root bed,...More

We were staying at Hotel Zetta and rarely choose to eat in a hotel’s adjacent restaurant. However the menu at The Cavalier was interesting and the reviews great. Breakfast included items like home made granola, Greek yogurt, mixed berries and spiced apples or frattata with...More

Pros - excellent service and good wine selection Cons- music was too loud, food was incredibly over- salted (even by restaurant standards), presentation of food was sloppy and under whelming. For the price you pay, we expected more. Carlos, our server and the other wait...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated

to do more than just business - museums, top quality

The Cavalier is a new restaurant concept by Restaurateurs Anna Weinberg, James Nicholas and Chef Jennifer Puccio, owners and creators of the critically acclaimed restaurants Marlowe and Park Tavern. Both restaurants earned three stars from The San Francisco Chronicle in addition to being listed as one their lauded “Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants”. Park Tavern was a James Beard Awards Semi-Finalist for “Best New Restaurant in America” in April 2012. Most recently, Anna Weinberg was named “Restaurateur of the Year” by San Francisco Magazine in August 2012.
