I ordered three dishes and was definitely impressed. I ordered the tuna poki, tofu in amber broth and okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious!!!! And luckily, it was reasonably priced for SFO. I will definitely return!

We popped in on a whim and glad we did - had tasty edamame and a seaweed start to start. I went traditional and had a generous portion of assorted tempura - lots of good shrimp. She went for the Tofu Katso Curry and it was also damn good. You need a reservation, we were lucky to get a couple... More

You can say I am a Japanese food expert. Lived in Japan for a long time and loved Japanese food all my life. This place looked like it is one of those old time drinking house in Japan, very inviting and low key looking. We ordered Brussels sprouts, which was cooked with a Lot of butter, in s hot iron... I'm a little out of my league here. Japanese food is not something I know well. So when our Japanese friends invited us to meet them here for dinner, I anticipated a night of sushi and sake. Well, it turns out that an Izakaya - essentially a Japanese gastro-pub - serves sushi but, even better, more casual Japanese dishes that... More

Having just come back from a 2 week trip to Japan and in SF for a weekend it was great to find this "true to form" izakaya. This place hit all the marks - small space, small plates to share while drinking beer or nihon shu(Japanese sake) and lots of conversation - only thing missing were the Japanese salarymen. Felt... Reasonably priced Food and drinks. Centrally located on Market. Can be noisy on busy days but generally a nice place to meet up with friends on a weekday.

I stopped by here as place was packed on Thursday evening to check it out. I went tuna poke and sashimi salad. Both were awesome! Place is small though, so plan ahead.

Booked for a Sunday evening mid November and the place was packed with people lined up to get in. Very small place, busy. They have a Japanese type tapas menu. Outstanding food, I would never have thought I would eat raw octopus! Very reasonable prices, $50 for 2 with a drink. Would definitely go there again.
