A dinner for 24 guests in the upper room was set for us. Serving perfectly grilled steak with various sides. The perfect wine pairing was also suggested. The red interiors added to the charm of the restaurant. Found at the top of Lombard.

We eat well and I never finish my steak but I ate ALL 9 oz of my filet mignon! This was BY FAR the BEST steak I have ever had! Service lacked (big time) but a bottle of wine helped with that! Great food, great company... what more could need! My most gracious compliments to the Chef!!

The space is quite small...which means it's charming and kind of hard to move around. If you get there early, chances are there isn't a place to wait comfortably. Besides that, the atmosphere is great, the food is good and the service was lovely. A bit overpriced, as steakhouses are want to do. If you have a special occasion and... More

Recommended by our Concierge as an upscale but casual steak and seafood place. It was worth going. The decor is interesting. We sat on the top floor and it got hot with all of the guests. Tightly packed tables means that we heard all of the conversations which was a bit uncomfortable. The steaks were properly prepared. The shrimp was... More

I decided to eat at Bobo's The Steak, The Crab restaurant due to their highly acclaimed rating of having the best steak in the Country! The experience was nothing less then fantastic, I ordered the Porterhouse Steak, which is the New York and Filet Mignon, nothing short of outstanding! Meat was very tender and flavorful. In addition, I had a... More

It was our first day in SF. We were tired and hungry after long flight and nice long walk exploring the city. As this was closest place to eat to our hotel we decided to give it a go. To be honest food was ok. Fish was just a bit too salty, but overall food was ok. I would give... More

The restaurant is decorated very red, is very compact and over priced. The 9 ozs of beef on my plate was cooked nicely, however drenched in butter. The side veggies of spinach and broccoli were also drenched in butter. The bread was chewy. We were seated in the front room just beyond the very tiny entrance way/bar. There were I... More

We went many years ago, and it was delicious. We decided to stay close to home on Christmas Eve and have a "nice" dinner. Huge mistake. In what universe is a Caesar made with iceberg lettuce? In what universe do the appetizers arrive within 5 minutes of ordering unless everything was already prepared and sitting? In what universe do you... More

We had made reservations for our family of seven two weeks prior and she goes to sit us down in 3 tables put together to sit 6 people grabs a place setting from another table to squeeze the 7th person all while Im there to sit... We had reservations here for our night in San Fran after a wine country visit. What a tiny surprise this was! The location is very small and intimate, ideal for dates or couples. Service was spectacular and the food. Oh my Gawd was the food amazing. We had espresso martinis to start with a bucket of steamed mussels which were... More

Bobo's is a stylish destination for the most exquisite steak and crab in the City. With antiqued red walls, colored glass light fixtures and striped tablecloths, the restaurant is like a plush Venetian jewel box. Executive Chef Andrea Froncillo has created a delectable menu that showcases his signature Italian-Asian fusion. The steak is USDA certified prime beef, dry-aged four to six weeks - longer than anywhere else on the West Coast! The crab is Dungeness, harvested from the Pacific Ocean and roasted in a savory garlic-butter sauce that is positively addicting.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
