For those who miss Rose Pistola in North Beach, the same management runs Rose's Cafe and Terzo in the Cow Hollow. Rose's is a pretty cafe, recognizable from a distance by its yellow canopy. It offers patio seating as well. Several dishes from Rose Pistola...More

As I approached Rose's on a raining morning after Thanksgiving, the outside seating was not a option. As a solo diner I was given the option to choose my table and I picked a table for two by the window. I was made to feel...More

Arriving early we had no difficulty in getting a table. Perusing the eclectic breakfast options we had polenta with poached eggs and Yukon potato hash with poached eggs. Accompanied with a cappucinno and Americano, all delicious. It was unhurried and relaxed. Coupled with the tasty...More

I stumbled on this restaurant/bistro by accident, after visiting the Trek bicycle shop across the street. Great corner spot throwing in the afternoon sun for free and with a nicely crafted menu, very friendly staff and a very local atmosphere. Linguini clams with one of...More

But across the street from the house where Mrs Doubtfire was filmed is Roses cafe. It’s reasonably priced but very limited menu. Based on Italian flavours. Only stopped for a drink but the menu didn’t grab me. Staff were very friendly though

I had the roast chicken (from the pizza oven) which was crisp and juicy with a slight herbal butter flavor, absolutely delicious. Service very friendly and helpful. If I lived in San Francisco this would surely become one of my favorites:-)

Well we got off the tour bus at the painted ladies drop off. If you keep walking downhill away from there you get to the house used in the movie Mrs Doubtfire. As it was quite a hot day and despite walking downhill we were...More

Had a late lunch with a glass of wine today. I picked a margarita pizza with extra prosciutto. Verdict??? It eas the best pizza I have had since my visit in Florence a few years ago. Fantastico!!!

Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.

A favorite in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, Rose's Café is a hangout for locals who bask in the sun at sidewalk tables, duck inside for a cappuccino, or stay for a leisurely lunch or dinner. Many customers are regulars who frequent our pretty bistro-café that offers table service and deliciously consistent food - Italian fare created using organic local produce, fresh seafood, humanely raised meats, and free-range poultry. Rose's artisan bakers bake a daily selection of pastries, desserts and breads. Menu highlights include: pizzas, daily soups, and house made pastas.
