A nice place to have a family or friends get together for a dim sum. It's accessible by MUNI, public transportation bus. There is ample parking within 5 blocks of the restaurant. Location is close by Sea Cliff and Ocean Beach area. The staff speaks enough English that non Chinese speakers can order.

My partner brought me here for Dim Sum and it was great; during the lunch hour, wait staff walks by the tables with various dim sum dishes and you can choose or not. Great selections; some better than others; the cucumbers, asperges and greens are really good if you love vegies; the seafood variety of dim sums are very good... More

Enjoy this bustling restaurant. Parking can be a challenge, but however you get to Ton Kiang you'll be glad. Very busy which means food is always fresh and tasty. Love the dim sum variety.

Madness to get in during popular hours and days, but efficient hostess will get you in asap. Because it's dim sum, you can start getting food from carts right away. The menu is also fantastic. They offer Hakka cuisine, which is different than the mostly Cantonese Chinese food in the area. Service is brusk, but you will get what you... More

Just back from lunch. Loved the dim sum though they keep bringing their selections to choose and no menu or drinks besides tea was offered. Anything else you had to keep asking for. Popular location so recommend reservation for peak times

The clear highlight here are the shrimp and scallop dumplings. They rank up there with any I've had. Har gao shrimp dumplings are also excellent. Snow pea shoots are a personal favorite and they are delicious here with roasted garlic. Generally the steamed dumplings were fabulous. Some of the fried ones were greasy and tasted of oil that wasn't fresh.... More

Great dim sum and awesome Chinese food. Hot and sour soup is the best I have ever tasted. Onion pancake is just like a lakee

We have been coming here for a while when in San Francisco. The food was just OK, and parking was hard in the neighborhood. Noodles were soggy without a lot of flavor. Veggie hot and sour soup was OK, as we could not get the regular without ordering a large bowl.

We had a great experience, dim sum is several small dishes, prices ranging from $4 - $7.95, that waitresses pass along the restaurant and you take whatever you want. This means it is fast, you barely sit and food is knocking on your table. Everything we tried was delicious, specially the scallop shrimp dumplings and the shrimp ball. A must... More

I'm a Bay Area local and dine often at Ton Kiang and also order take away frequently. I was quite surprised on November 14th when the delivery person asked that I tip him in cash as he handed me my credit card receipt. I said I preferred to tip on the credit card bill and he insisted cash only. That... More
